Took a while to arrive but works well, there is no noise level to speak of, it is a prefilter for hw304b canister filter, it has no suction power on its own, ther is no power head or pump associated with it. It is os simply a prefilter with ball valves and it works very well. When cleaned weekly it makes main canister filter maintenance much easyer and cleaner. It will reduce the gph output of the main filter so consider oversizing that main canister as it is the pump from this main can that will pull water through this can, in addition to the natural syphon and head pressures created by a main display or tank being filtered.
