GARDEN HALF BARREL PLANTER BLACK PLASTIC 50CM DIAMETER - X 2 PLANTERS

I wanted a temporary pot to replant a rose that was in a wooden half barrel which had rotted and fallen apart. I thought at this price it would do until I got a new wooden pot, however, the barrel has exceeded my expectations and I am going to keep the rose in it. It looks attractive planted up and although the plastic is fairly thin, it seems robust. I am thinking of making the spare barrel into a mini pond as the barrels are watertight until you drill drainage holes. I put my barrel onto a stand with wheels to provide space for drainage and because once it is full it is very heavy. My only reservation is that the thin plastic may not provide much protection against the cold in winter, but at least it won't rot.

Very pleased with these planters. A good price and quite sturdy. They look very good as well. Would have given 5 star rating but would like to see first how they survive poor weather conditions. Best planters I have ever bought and I would not hesitate to recommend. Very well packed as well. Thank you Amazon!

Absolutely great for what I wanted. Just made us laugh that I had ordered 2 and they were each wrapped separately. The poor postman!I have used them to plant patio fruit trees. They are the perfect size for the job.

Much bigger than I thought they would be, should be ideal for my summer plants, look to be good value

These are monster massive barrels - just what I needed for my patio, filled with loads of lovely flowers - look stunning. Have punched holes in the designated spots, however, found they weren't draining very well, so have put large pebbles underneath for them to stand on and this seems to have done the trick.

Good sized planters, but the walls of the planter are a lot thinner than I hoped.It does the job though and was priced well.
