Comfy and Cute Sandals at an affordable price!
I just received the Santiro Yoga sandals yesterday. They came packaged in a lightweight cinch sack. First, I apologize for the feet photos that will accompany this reveiw. I don’t have the prettiest feet and definitely am in major need of a pedicure. However, I felt it was best to show photos of the sandal actually being worn. With that being said, let’s get on with the review.I do own a pair of Sanuk yoga slings, so I did a comparison between the two different sandals to help you with a purchase of these. On first glance, I could tell a noticeable difference in quality, however the Santiro sandals are much cheaper in cost, so I wasn’t surprised. These sandals are still well made, it was mostly the sole of the shoe and the type of fabric that seemed not quite as good. The sole of the Santiro sandal is actually a bit thicker than the Sanuk sandal. However, the Sanuk's sole feels more like a shoe sole and the Santiro sole feels more like flip flop soles. The top of the shoe are both made from yoga mats and are quite comfy. The texture of the top "yoga mat" are a bit different and I think Sanuk's feels a bit more like a true yoga mat.The straps of this sandal seemed to be made of a poly-blend stretchy fabric, where as the Sanuk is made from a thicker cotton-knit type of fabric. The Santoro was a thinner shiny fabric and the strap itself was thinner. Because of the amount of stretch, the back of my foot came much higher off the sandal, the Sanuk was much less stretchy and held my foot in place better. Both were comfortable and the Santiro sandal was actually easier to put on because of the extra stretch.I wear a size 7 and occasionally a 7.5 in dressier shoes. I ordered the size 7 and that is also the size of sandal I own from Sanuk. You can tell from the photos that the Sanuk and the Santiro are basically the same length and width, however the shape of the sole is a little different.I wore the Santoro Yoga Sandal around for a couple of hours and they were comfortable. The only complaint was the left sandal rubbed on my foot where the strap is wrapped by a rubber piece. It didn’t leave a blister, but I could see redness from where it rubbed. This did not happen with the right sandal. If I can get these not rub, I am sure I will get lots of wear out of them. I like the black color and that will go with a lot of different types of outfits, from very casual to dressy casual.UPDATE- I wore these a bit longer on another day and the strap did not rub as they did before, however, my foot did slide off the side near the back as I walked in them longer than a couple hours. I think this was due to the stretchiness of the back strap.Even though it seems that most of this review puts Sanuk in a better light, I would still recommend the Santiro Yoga Sandal. They were still comfortable, looked cute and the price is much more affordable than Sanuk. So over all I would get these again if they came in more solid colors.*I did receive this product at a discount in exchange for a test and an honest review. I try my best to be thorough while testing and provide a detailed, but completely honest review. If my opinion of this products changes in the future, I will be sure to update my review.*

Feet fall off back - slightly dangerous
I was hoping these would be my go-to shoes for the summer, but I will probably will wear them very little. They were very comfortable when I tried them on – and even though I was looking more for of a slip-on, they aren’t hard to get on, so I decided to keep them. There is a rather loud “flip” sound with each step. Unfortunately, the first day wearing them I immediately found a significant flaw – the way the elastic straps position the foam pad under your feet is such that the ball of your foot falls half-on-half-off the pad. Add to that the poofy contouring (which is fine and comfy while not moving) and you have an even more narrow space on which your foot can fall – and from which it can roll off. Maybe it’s just me – no one else has commented on this, but I’m afraid I’ll twist an ankle. So, for about ten steps they are fine and any further walking (like down stairs or from my parking garage to my office) is just, well, dangerous! I tried to show in the picture how the straps (the only part attached to your foot) would align the ball on that narrow pad. I agree with other reviews, they are quite narrow – even in the front. I feel like Julianne Moore with my little toe falling off the side. I really wanted to like these – I tried hard. I hope they widen the foot pad or reconfigure to make them work.

Meh...
I bought these because I liked the Skechers version and thought I would try these for about 20 bucks less. The base and sole is very comparable but the straps I was disappointed in. Today is the first day wearing them and one seems much loser than the other. The thong part is wrapped in string and it came loose and needed to be rewrapped and tied, which I could only do because I had jewelry pliers that could get into the tight space. I wish I had worn these in the house for a few mins instead of wearing them to work so I could have sent them back. I just ordered the Skechers ones I wanted.

Half the price of named brand and twice the comfort!!
So happy! I bought these for a trip to Costa Rica because I knew I would be walking a lot. I have other cute sandals but none with yoga mat cushions... I was discouraged when I saw the price of the sketchers sandals and other name brand sandals that advertise the same. These came up on the suggestions on Amazon and I figured I would try them out. I am in love! Literally the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned! My friends got some yoga mat sandals for $40, we switched sandals just for the heck of it and we both agree mine are way more comfortable :)Only suggestion for those looking to buy: the yoga mat material gets slippery when wet, I don't suggest these as beach sandals if you plan on getting your feet wet. My foot kept slipping off the cushion when I took them the the pool, I am clumsy and could have very easily fallen.
