very good product ( there is an update)
usually I use another brand...but I decided to give it a try with this brand of silicone ...I use it to make molds out of real crystals and then I use the molds to fill it with resin.... the package is very practical. no smell... part a and b are not that viscous so it's very easy to pour. easy to mix within 3 minutes everything is ready..and you will see it because there are different in colour, one is white and the other is purple.... no bubbles....so you don't need a vacuum chamber .... after pouring you wait 6 hours...I left it over night and next day I removed it...it was very easy... and then I poured the resin and after it cured there was no problem releasing the resin piece from the mold and it picked up all the details and shine from the original crystal...so over all it was a success ...so if I have any update i will share it but for now everything went so smoothly ... here is an update....they said the working time is 30 min and cure time is 6 hours.....for me the working time is 10 min and the curing time is 3 hours.....i live in a place when the temperature in my house is 25 C..... so maybe that's why it's curing fast...other than that it's ok....i'm using it for resin and it's working great.

Seems a good fit for beginners at least...
First off, I'm no silicon mold expert. I bought this for the missus who wanted something she could to make molds for use with resin. She was a bit nervous about attempting to mold without a vacuum chamber, but this stuff seemed to work great. Three molds (one of which was waaaay too thick but can't knock the product for that, it's just a learning experience). Mixed up great, cured in the time mentioned, and captured plenty of detail with no bubbles or issues. The resulting molds were nice and durable and will last us quite some time I imagine. Will definitely be looking into more of this when the time comes.

Easy to use, too friable for resin
Pros: Good value, there's a lot of product! Very forgiving formula if you don't measure exactly Very dense, solid result after curing No worries about air bubbles Cons: Messy, esp if using small amounts at a time More friable than a standard silicone mold you might buy - more like a rubber mold Doesn't cure in 6 hours as stated I bought this for my resin crafting, and it's a bit too friable for that purpose. I tore a spot in one mold I made on the first use as I demolded my resin cast. My other molds have held up for several castings, but I don't think they'll last forever. I have to be super careful demolding that I don't stretch the rubber too far. I also do small casts, mainly for jewelry, so I'm using about 2 ounces at a time. These are large jars to pour from, and inevitably some drips down the side, and it's very slick and sticky when not blended 1:1. Both jars have a slick coating on them now (I have about 6 ounces left to use in the jars) and have to be kept in a plastic bin so as not to ruin the surface that they are sitting on. The label states that these have a short shelf life, so I'm using them as quickly as I can; however it's been about a week and as long as I carefully reseal the jars after use they seem to still be working fine. I was concerned about the amount of air bubbles present after mixing 1:1, but the instructions said not to worry so I just went ahead and used the bubbly mixture. I've had no issues with air bubbles messing up my molds. After a few uses I started using a heat gun and just flashing it over the surface to pop the largest bubbles on top - literally just wave it over, as if you use it for any longer the surface will start to cure (and then I worry air won't be able to escape from below the cured surface "skin"). I also have repeatedly checked my molds after 6 hours and they are still tacky to the touch and not ready to remove. I've been letting them sit overnight and they're solid in the morning (more like around 10 hours). Not an issue for me, but if you're buying this and counting on it being ready for use in 6 hours, it won't be. All in all, a good product! If you're using resin, though, you probably want something a bit stretchier.

Simple, Works great, Would buy Again.
This is a great product for making molds for Casting simple and easy to use, it captured details really really well. i should have probably used a small perfect size container so i wouldn't waste so much excess mixture:( but i guess you also need to make sure you have enough to ensure a full cover of the mold. mixing is equal ratio so i had no problem measuring, and the fact that each component has its own color, means that it's super easy to tell when it's been mixed properly, original comes out easy, also personally i had no air bubbles, would deferentially purchase again.

Product is great but why don't they fill the containers to the fill line??
I had never made silicon molds before and this was very easy to work with and I got excellent results. On my first order the containers were about 3/4 full. I kind of knew to expect that based on other reviews so it wasn't a big deal. Got my second order today. Containers are LESS than HALF full. Another reviewer experienced the exact same thing with their second order so why am I surprised? The product itself gets five stars but it IS a rip off when they don't fill the containers properly. If I were to order a third time would the containers only be 1/4 full? I probably won't find out because I am unlikely to reorder!
