I seldom make pasta so I was looking for cheap, easy to clean and most important compact for storage. This is perfect.Already used once, heavier materials than expected will work great for me. If this was a weekly usage I would want wood as eventually plastic joints fail. The base is great, three legs extend (those are metal) and defiantly wide enough for stability. Pasta rack tall enough so can fit finally product in tall pasta jar with cork lid; no problem. Come with little "wand" that makes it easy to take the "strings" of pasta from machine and onto drying bars.

I purchased the rack to dry homemade pasta. I chose this because it seemed more durable than wooden racks and folds into a relatively small cylinder. The included bar that can be used to transfer the noodles to the rack was a nice bonus. The only reason I give four stars is that it is hard to get the three legs to sit evenly on the counter.

I love this pasta drying rack...and for the price, it has every feature I could possibly need, as well as the pasta wand, making transferring pasta from my Kitchenaid mixer pasta attachment a breeze. I have seen reviews of people concerned about its durability. Hello!? If you use it as intended and aren't playing baseball or using it as a hammer, it should do just fine. I have set it up and broken it down twice already in 2 days and it is quick to set up and break down, with everything fitting neat and snug within a stainless steel tube, making it easy to store with my Kitchenaid accessories. I would highly recommend this pasta drying rack! I love mine!

I wish I would have been able to use the product. However the day I received it and opened it up, one of the legs popped out and I was unable to pop it back in. Sadly I had to return it. Overall, the product was compact and folded up into one container about the size of a 12" ruler as advertised. I liked the stainless steel, which would be easy to clean.

This is my second one and in both cases I have had the occurrence. Initially the item works perfectly but at some point I jarred the item a little too much and the the top portion separated from the base and will no longer seat properly resulting in a worthless item as any pasta on the spindles simply makes the unit fall apart.

We chose this product because of the detachable transport wand. You can collect the noodle with the wand as it is being cut and transport them to the drying rack. We use semolina flour in our pasta recipe. This is a coarse flour which prevents our noodles from sticking together. The product's ability to collapse was also a selling point for us. It makes for easy storage. The eights arms allows us to make a large batch of pasta and store it for future meals. It is well designed-easy to assemble and clean. We would recommend this product.

This thing broke on me on the first use. The acrylic arms was a poor choice. Maybe if everything was one piece and aluminum it would’ve worked better.
