Exactly what I was looking for!
My son, like many other kids who’ve never seen a cassette tape, saw the Awesome Mix from Guardians of the Galaxy and instantly wanted an “old school boom box, like you had, Mommy!” (Thanks for calling me old, kid.) I decided on this one for his birthday and I’m so glad I did because he absolutely loves it! He’d rather listen to music on this than his iPad so that’s a win in itself! If you’re looking for stereo quality sound, you’re not going to get it with this, just like you didn’t get it with the old school ones. It has that classic boom box sound, and I was surprised that it has real switches and dials, not digital stuff. I love it enough that I’m thinking of getting myself one...definitely a great buy for the money!

Nostalgia for sale
If you’re looking at this. You are probably an 80’s or 90’s child and had a boom box. I ordered this for someone else and he was out of his gourd with excitement. And then suddenly I was jealous...and am now seriously considering ordering one for myself. There’s a fancier version with a CD player. But let’s not kid ourselves. If you’re looking at this you want the cassette player so you can open it up after the first half is finished and flip that baby around and press play again! It is what it is. The Bluetooth works, the speakers are good not great. It’s a great gift and fun time. Well worth it.

Looks great, but don't buy if you're an audiophile.
I've seen a lot of reviews for this item that mention the subpar sound quality, and I agree it isn't the best but it's also not horrible. Volume-wise it is loud, but if you mainly listen to the mainstream sleek sounding music of today this is not the item for you! You will be very disappointed. If you like 80's music like me you will be more content. I give this item 5 stars for the aesthetics, which is the main reason I bought it.

Felt like I needed to weigh in
Alot of these reviews are misleading. Either the people writing them don't know how to work bluetooth properly, or their delivery service was Ace Ventura, so the item was damaged. Anyway, here is an unbiased review 6 months in:Pros:1) Looks great.2) Never had a single issue with bluetooth connections or USB.3) The bluetooth sound is OK. Not bad, not amazing, just OK.4) Tape sound quality is solid.Cons:1) The cassette player door does not close all the way, so one of my tapes got eaten. Looks like you have to tape it shut (points for authenticity). To recap: Solid novelty boom box that has, so far, worked as advertised minus the tape eating.

Great old school meets new school and play all your musics and have fun with it.
There was no remote control with this product. Well one wasn’t in the box if it should have had one. Overall, it’s really enjoyable to have an old school radio I grew up with with a blue tooth setting so you get the both of the old school meets new school. The cassette compartment does work, so if you have old cassettes still, play them all day. One things to point out is that is takes D batteries, not a charging type radio. So stack up on those batteries while playing outdoors if you’re not near an outlet. It does have a plugin as well. It’s a great conversation starter for those who do any type of events for their business.

DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK YOU'LL BE SORRY.
I bought this for my father who's in his late 80's he enjoyed playing his cassette tapes aold Sony cd player cassette ball style radio from the 90's and which now we'll get it repaired so I thought to buy him this garbage radio and cassette as a gift. Three moths and the cassette player is playing the cassette tapes very slow like at half speed, slow. To tell you the truth this piece of crap felt cheap form the start as this is just a simulation a copy of a real boom box from the 70's those that had weight! only thing half decent on this gem is the radio but the cassette player sucks it is now broken plays slow wobbly sound like the cassette player has no power or something and didn't even last 6 months it worked for a three moths, this should be sold as a radio not with cassette it is light just looks cheap Im so sorry I bought this for 100 friggin' dollars ! I feel totally ripped off if I could Id get my money back I would DONT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK FOR THE CASSETTE as a radio its ok with the fixed sound (no controls for bass, treble etc, BTW first day the chromed plastic antenna which is just for show and not operational broke first day a toy I had to glue it back on THIS PIECE OF JUNK!

Very cool to look at, not that great audio-wise
Definitely more for looks than music quality. It gets the job done, but the Bluetooth disconnects if you walk more than a few feet away from it 😫There’s no auxiliary cord....not sure if it was supposed to come with one, but it didn’t. The normal apple USB cord won’t work. The power cord is super short too.

Great Holiday Gift for Retro Fans
Bought as a gift last Christmas for a ex. Set up quick and pretty straight forward. Was usable by someone who isn't as tech savvy as most. Sounded great and they where very happy. To the best of my knowledge still working to this day.
