I had no idea how badly I needed this in my life.
When I would dye my edges, I always used a paint brush and while that worked, no matter how slowly I applied the dye, or how much I focused, there were still times that I would accidentally get some dye on a panel of a bag or whatever else. This thing was a joy to use after all of that. ----- Off topic, but.. I know the old adage of buy once cry once, and it makes a lot of sense. IMO, It's been great to use crappy tools first and then upgrade after awhile. It makes you really appreciate how great your new stuff is. Anyways, It's pretty small, which makes getting dye into the reservoir difficult, but tbh I wouldn't want a bigger size and use way too much dye. I just bought some little syringes and use them to add/remove it. I almost always use alcohol-based dyes, so I was worried about how quickly they would evaporate, but I guess because of the small reservoir, I had no problem with it. Only complaint is that it's not very easy to clean, but I mean we're leatherworkers. Everything we use is not easy to clean. Recommended whole heartedly

For a small project, this is a godsend.
This item is for people who are hobbyists making single piece, small leather goods. If you are painting less than 40", you are good. It is very small but it holds enough paint for those purposes. It applies paint quickly, efficiently, and evenly to edges. I don't understand how anyone could get mad at this. I used this for a passport wallet and it worked brilliantly. Just fill the reservoir, paint the edge, set the piece aside to dry, and in the meantime, pour the remaining paint back into to original bottle, and rinse the unit under the sink for a few seconds. It literally takes 40 seconds at most to both setup and clean this unit between coats. It is so much faster than using a brush or an awl, and more precise than a pen roller. There are larger units that do exactly the same thing for larger projects which cost a bit more, and then there are commercial units that cost over $1500 if you are doing bulk. It's $8 and it does exactly what it's supposed to.

Literally amazing.
So I've recently got into leathercraft and I've been painting the edges of my wallets with toothpicks, q-tips and the recommended needle rollers from my local Tandy shop. This product however..it applies the perfect amount of edge paint each time and was incredibly smooth when rolling the leather across it. Legitimately the best product I have received for leathercraft off Amazon. I wish it had a cover so I could leave left over paint in it without it drying up. That's my only complaint. This product is 10/10. I highly recommend to anyone that's looking at it.

Needs better quality control
It looks like the inside of the reservoir is scratched up like they were using a torn up end mill. This isn't a sign of quality. The roller constantly got stuck. It didn't clean well due to all the drives and scratches, and when I did get it to function a lot of the edge kote just ended up flowing into the sides of the rollers' arms. Find another splitter unless you want to machine this back down yourself.

Tiny
Way too small for the intended use. Expect a mess if ink is involved

Es un accesorio que se debe tener para hacer trabajos que requiera el uso de poca pintura, tal cual especifica la medida descrita.
