Works as described. Although I thought I was upgrading. The factory motor had more power. Idk I'm not a pro. Can't see it being an upgrade.

Called d&d motors to make sure I was getting the correct motor for my 2005 club car ds. They made sure the motor was correct and would perform properly in my cart and boy does it. Took me about 30 mins to install and took me from a laughable 12mph on flat ground to 25!!!!!!!!!. This is a great product made buy a great company if u need a motor go to D&D MOTORS!!!!!

I talked with Jeff at D and D motors about a good motor for my cart, he went over all the options and we both decided on the motor I needed for my application. It was delivered and packaged nice. Install took about 20 minutes, simple and only 4 wires to swap on the entire install. This motor woke my cart up and gave it the power it should have had from the mfg’er. Prior to the motor upgrade my 99 Club Car DS was slow and ran from any simple hill, even on paved roads. The cart would run a max of 11mph with 23 inch tall tires. After just a motor install only the cart runs 17-18mph and does super well on small hills. Best investment I have done on my DS cart so far and it is a custom built cart with Spartan body and a ton of other accessories.

I installed this motor fairly easily however the motor will not accept the OEM mounting bolts due to fine vs. coarse thread. After finding new ones the motor installed with no issue.The motor itself provides so much torque that I have to let off the throttle going up hill or my golf cart will start spinning out. Hands down this is the best choice in motor not only for the power but for the price.My original 3hp motor that only went 12mph it would have cost me over 1800 dollars for a new one, but this upgrade was less than half that cost.
