I love this wax seal kit! Not only is it cute, but it works well. I have never been able to create a good-looking wax seal with the drip-stick method, so I purchased this little guy, and now my wax seals look perfect! The spoon measures 4 1/2" long, with a deep bowl that sits perfectly in the warmer. The wax warmer itself is all metal and measures 5" long and 4" high, with the warming plate 2 1/2" wide. The wax melts pretty quickly and evenly. This kit does come with a heart-shaped tealight candle of good quality. I have a wax stamp that is 3 cm (30mm) wide, and I found that four wax pellets is what's needed to make that perfect, professional-looking round seal.

I am debating if I should return. I had a left over tea light I had been using and it was almost finished so I wanted to test it with that. The deer is high, so the flame could barely get to the spoon. The wax just sat in the spoon melted a little then solidified.I tried it again with a brand new candle and my own spoon (not gold coated) and it worked much better, I think because the flame was basically touching the spoon. So this thing is pretty much useless once the wick burns down to half.Unless I can cut the legs a bit, or get taller candles, this might be a lost cause.

Works great melts the wax evenly, I love the design of it. When using the whole thing heats up, legs/antlers, so be careful when handling. It comes with two tea light candles that are in their own tiny bag so they don’t wax everywhere which is nice.

Recently got into wax sealing and I needed a holder for my spoon. This was super cute and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy this. It sits pretty on my window sill. The only cons would be that due to it's material and design, the entire reindeer gets hot during the melting process so you have to wait for it to cool a bit before moving it back into storage when you're done wax sealing. Another potential con for some people, although this is really dependent on your preference is that there's no designated holder or spot to place your tea light. You just have to line it up underneath before you light up the candle. That hasn't been an issue for me nor was it a deal breaker. I've used it many times now and it's just super simple and basic, and super cute to boot. You can't go wrong with this setup, I highly recommend!

So, there are lots of ways to handle wax. I've tried the wax sticks and wood spoon holders. The sticks are a pain, and the wood spoon holders catch on fire (for real). This little guy is perfect!

I received the reindeer spoon holder today in a small box. However, I did not receive the spoon or the tea candles as promised. This is unfortunate, as the reindeer melter is cute, but I did not receive the other items. I will give it 5 stars just because it works exactly the way you need it to. However, the one I got would not sit correctly so I contacted the seller, they originally asked me to “bend” it into place and I told them no. I would not be “fixing” a product I purchased. So, I feel they were hesitant but they did send me a new one. Now here’s where it gets interesting... in my pictures you can see that one is obviously bigger and the smaller one is the original one I received. I have no idea why there is a small one and a bigger one. The spoon seems to be the same size but the whole “deer” itself it just bigger.

For someone who enjoys putting wax seal stamps on cards for every occasion, this product is great because it lets you do something else (like finish writing in your card) while the wax melts. It’s just the right size, not too big, not too small & the spoon is very nice too. The shape of the candles was a bit unexpected, I got two heart shaped ones, but as long as they do their job, I’m okay with it.
