Love this Kingdomino Prequel 🦣
We love Kingdomino the original game. Then I saw this for a bargain price (under a tenner) and those cute Mammoth tokens, and bought it. And we love it. Not regretted the purchase for a second. It adds some fun variants to the base game, updates or should that be, backdates the art to Palaeolithic. Adds Volcanoes + fish, mammoth, mushroom and flint tokens, so more variable a scoring options. More to think about. It was real fun. Made us smile. Not tried the other variant, Tribes yet. But it's still everything about KD that we love. Recommend if you like KD

Enhances game play
We really enjoy playing Kingdomino so we were very excited to recieve this. Even more so when we realised it has not one but two expansions! You can either play the game with the giants which alters it to make it more competitive amongst players. Or, use the special point scoring dominos which completely changes your strategy to play!

Good family game. Quick enough to do a 5x5 game before school or a longer 7x7 game in the evening. Simple to learn game by has its fun challengesLittle maths a bonus for 7 year old to learn in a different environment.

Great quick game!
I had my doubts about how good this would be, as I wondered how you can really build on dominoes. Having played it several times now, I'm pleased to say that other than having to match up the pieces it's not really anything like dominoes at all, there are a nice few mechanisms going on that make this a really fun game. I would say that although it may be suitable for kids to play, this can be a good challenge for adults and allows for a some degree of strategy to be experimented with. Games are relatively quick and you will immediately want to play again to try out different strategies. It's a great little game. The only negative for me was having to build the little castles and the cardboard being a bit fiddly to press out which resulted in slight damage, which is annoying.

Great game, can be played with younger children, great for maths skills.
This is a brilliant game, nice and quick (perhaps 15 mins?) and lots of fun. My 4 year old and I play it all the time. I would say it's his favourite at the moment. I offer occasional suggestions about domino placement, but he is mostly fine on his own. I don't intentionally make daft moves (but neither do I seriously strategise), and I usually win but not by much. A couple of comments for those playing with small children:1. This is BRILLIANT for surreptitious maths skills. Each round you have to place four randomised dominos (nos 1-48) in size order, teaching place value. Your score is calculated as number of crowns x number of tiles, teaching simple multiplication. And then you have to add up those scores at the end. I write the sums on a piece of paper for him to cement it, and scribe the answers he tells me.2. The game tiles need to be in a 5 x 5 grid ( or 7 x 7 for a longer 2 player game). This is a little abstract for my son. and he occasionally needs reminders to make sure it isn't more than 5 up or across, and also to help him not end up with single 'holes' in his grid.Overall, super game.

Confusing instructions, but extremely fun
We play the game often at home, so I only have positive things to say about it.The only downside is the instructions, but you can find the instructions well enough on the internet.Definitely recommend, even if you’re older. I’m 26 and enjoy it.
