Bought this for sanding down ceiling after popcorn removal. Since this is just a DIY project could not see spending 500 dollars on a high end sander. The picture on the left is before sanding and on the right is after sanding. You have to sand after scraping, period, and this sander worked fine. Its gets a little heavy, I believe its about three pounds heavier than a high end model, but I would think all of them get heavy when doing ceilings. I have sanded all the main rooms of the house without a problem, it even fell off my work bench a couple of times and didn't break. Overall well worth the money. The sanding head is a little stiff and it doesn't like to sand in a completely vertical position, it always likes to be at about a 60 degree angle. The sander takes 9inch 10 hole hook and loop sanding discs. Not much else I can say, it arrived on time undamaged and worked.

Works good for homeowner use. For professional I would use something sturdier.
