This was my first time to replace a cell phone battery although I have replaced cell phone screens and consider myself to be somewhat handy. I just now finished replacing the battery to my I phone 5S, so I can't speak to the battery's longevity, but it arrived charged at 50% of capacity and seems to be doing fine. The tools furnished with the battery are sufficient. I watched three U-tube videos before the operation. Be warned that the screws are VERY small and when dropped from tweezers or whatever, bounce like a tiny rubber ball. I had trouble getting half of the old battery adhesive out and ended up prying and somewhat bending the old battery before finally getting it out. After assembling everything, the phone itself would work but the screen would not respond to touch and small grid lines began to appear in the background. After checking on the internet, I concluded it was a poor screen connection problem. The second time I disassembled and assembled the phone, I vacuumed the screen connectors, male and female, and that did the trick. So I conclude that this is a very good product that is difficult to install. Any manufacturer's battery would be difficult to install. My experience took me around 3 hours, and included some anxious moments.UPDATE: I installed the battery almost four months ago. It has worked perfectly.

Worked great in an iPhone 5c. One screw is longer than the rest and you will have to keep track of it and it's location. Getting the old battery out is tricky due to the adhesive. I should have plugged the connector for the new battery in first before adhering the new battery in place. I did it the other way around and only barely got it to work due to my error.

I ordered the 5C battery replacement. After viewing several tutorials I removed the battery and screen with no problems. However, when I put in the replacement battery I found that it was about 0.5-1mm too wide. This doesn't seem like much of a difference from the original, but it was enough to prevent the connector from being re-attached without bending the replacement battery connector. It was such a tight fit that I did not need to use the adhesive strips that came with the kit. I returned the battery for a replacement, but this second battery also did not fit like the original iphone battery. This is a basic quality control issue that needs to be addressed. I would go with another manufacturer until this problem is addressed. I am giving the product 2 stars instead of 1 since the battery has been charging and discharging properly for the past 2 weeks. Hopefully the tight fit will not result in overheating or battery failure. I will update if this occurs

The replacement instructions and procedure was good and was able to change the battery without major issues. My old battery was little hard to pull off but no issues with connecting the new one to my iphone5s. The battery worked well for 3-4 months with the power lasting enough for a day in full recharge. I used my phone for light browsing, messaging and few calls and all still the charge would last more than 24hrs.But after using this for 3-4months, now I have to charge it twice a day. With 70% charge before I sleep, my phone would be almost dead or with less than 5% when I wake up (7-8hrs sleep with no phone usage). I have switched off background apps, email auto push and location services and still with 12hrs my phone would be down from 100% juice to 15%.I am not sure if this is a bad product or only this particular specimen fails. But certainly I do not recommend this for now.

Battery replacement on a iPhone is not recommended if your close-up eyesight is poor or if you have shaky hands. You are dealing with very small screws and electrical connectors, and if you fail to follow the instructions to the letter, you may be in for disappointment. That being said, the tools provided in this battery kit are adequate, if not the same quality I've seen in other kits. The installation manual is okay but would benefit from some close-up photos of the various connectors. One of the most difficult steps in battery replacement is removing the old battery from the phone, with the adhesive strips. If you're not careful it is easy to damage some of the electrical circuits below the battery. The limited instructions about battery removal make it look easier than it is.

Excellent product and an excellent price. The disassembly was easy. I reassembled the phone a few times. I was unfortunate that the screen connectors did not make good contact the first time and I had vertical lines on the screen and it did not turn off. I took the phone a part and reassembled a few times with similar results until the battery was disconnected before reassembly. Then the next time the phone screen correctly connected and it worked. The screws are extremely small and it would be easier to install if the screw driver mechanically held the screw in place.

Battery installs in an iPhone are a bit fussy, (really it's the uninstall of the old battery) but this is not the fault of the vendor. That said, the install went as easily as it could have and they supplied all needed tools. The battery performs like new and is working very well.

Quality Product but take your time, follow step-by-step instructions and watch online video. My big fingers removing very tiny screws and loosening tiny cables was to say the least, somewhat cumbersome. This excellent kit does have all of the necessary tools for the job. So far, it's a winner for sure and gives one a great deal of pride in taking on the challenge of replacing an iPhone battery. Highly recommended, even for newbies like me!
