Really Not Relavant anymore
I purchased this book 10 years ago when I was first learning about the process of making Digital Negatives and it was out of date then, to say i was disappointed is an understatement. This book may have been relevant 20 years ago, but technology has changed dramatically since then. For example the author is recommending using a Image Setter as a method for making digital Negatives. I wrote the author asking him if he could provide me with some an updated addendum, he did and even it was outdated. There are excellent resources available on the web for making digital negatives with an inkjet printer....they are current and free. Google Mike Ware for example. I can't believe this book is still being sold. If you really feel the need to buy a book, check out Rod Reeder's "Digital Negatives for palladium and other alternative processes"

wate of money
This book is a total waste of money DO NOT BUY IT. Over 10 years out of date...it is worth about $5 or less. It should not even be sold anymore......rubbish! Even back then it was written for photographers over 50 years of age and Digital newbies.

The Bible of Digital Negs!
If you are serious about making your own digital negatives... then this is the book that you'll need to create them and produce the art. Dan Burkholder's website is also very useful with updated information there for use!

Digital Negatives
I must admit I haven't started the process yet. But for those of us stuck in the digital photography age whose aesthetic leanings go to back to an earlier photographic era -- even if it proves difficult to follow -- it is a god send.
