Such a great and powerful little music maker. I use this on my paddle board.

I got this to take on a kayaking trip. The one I had wasn't waterproof and I didn't want to take any chances of ruining it. I love the quality of Altec Lansing's products, so it was easy to figure out what I needed. The hard part was figuring out which model to get. This unit is heavy duty and ready for anything. It's covered in a heavy duty rubber coating that does a great job at protecting it and it's waterproof. We found out how durable it is when it fell off the top of the kayak, that was over our heads, and rolled down the landing into the water, as we were getting out of the river. It was still in perfect condition with no damage or issues. I was impressed! The sound quality on this powerful little thing is clear and crisp. You wouldn't think you'd get such rich bass from a unit this small, but it's superb. It worked wonderfully out on the river. It'll pair with pretty much any bluetooth device quickly and it keeps the connection. No need to worry about having to constantly re-pair it. It's got around a 100 foot range, which was great because my phone died halfway through the trip. We paired it to my friend's device that was in another boat and it worked with no issues. The battery life is AMAZING!! We got almost 11 hours of use on one charge. I was shocked and thrilled!! This was a great purchase. It's a reasonable waterproof speaker that performs better than some of the speakers I've had that cost twice this. I actually have to buy another one because my daughter "accidentally" took it back to college and won't be home until May. Dang kids!! 🤣🤣

I just purchased my 2nd one of these Jacket H2O 4. The other one I used for just over 2 years before the charging port/battery failed. When I bought my 1st one, I tested all the similar products from $30-120. I ended up with this one because the sound was much better than even the $100+ options. For reference I listen to pop, rock, punk, rap, electronic, metal, folk, etc. This speaker sounded the best across all those genres. 2 years ago I paid around $75. Now they are cheaper but same quality as before. There are many more options in the $30-50 range today, but I was willing to repurchase the same item since I knew what I was getting. If you want a lot of water resistance, this may not be the product for you. It was fine for me in the rain. The port cover needs to be in place to keep that area dry. The 1st speaker I purchased I used primarily hiking. Sometimes at below freezing temps. It held up well even with me having it in an outside pocket that I would bang around at times. The rest of the time I used it at home. I did have a portable charging battery I would use hiking at times and that could have led to the faulty charging port/battery. 2+ full years of use was well worth $75, and now looks even better for around $45.

I have the older which is bigger, and louder. It works well, but I was disappointed

For the size it packs a lot of power. Sound is ok. Battery charge lasts long.

Top volume is so low, the laptop speakers on my 13" Macbook Air are louder. 🙄 Also, Amazon sent the H20 3, NOT the H20 4 that I ordered, and the H20 3 has TERRIBLE controls (with only 3 buttons serving multiple functions). Unfortunately, I didn't open the box (which was labeled H2 0 4) until it was too late to send it back. The box was factory sealed, so it appears that Altec Lansing was offloading older products in newer, mislabeled product boxes for "Amazon Prime Big Deal Days." I'll be a lot more wary of these super "deals" offered by Amazon in the future. Skip this useless item. There has to be better/cheaper speakers than this.

Sound is decent...not great or high quality but for the price it's okay...

This item didn't worked properly for long and quit functioning AFTER the return date expired. DO NOT PURCHASE!! Even the salesman @ Staples where I bought my next Bluetooth speaker said "they're junk, don't buy". Buy electronics in store NOT on Amazon!

The USB cable was missing from the packaging. The packaging the speaker came in states there should be 1 USB charge cable and the ‘Quick Start Guide’ also wants you to check there is a USB cable include in your package. So I know this product was supposed to come with a USB cable. *Update* upon further inspection after receiving this item, I have seen that the USB port on the speaker itself has previously been damaged.
