Tudor and Stuart Britain 3rd Edition

This is history the way it should be written. Clear and engaging narrative prose delivered with sound judgment and insight. This is essentially a text book, but one that makes me wish that I had been given such texts when I was in school. Although the book was obviously written for the layman and student, it is just as obviously a work by a scholar who knows his subject area inside out, and delights in getting it right.

This is a very well written history textbook. It does have the author's opinions and point of view, but that's no different than other historical texts. There are no maps or graphics, only text. I would recommend.

It is reasonable, especially if you have amazon prime as it comes the day later

Bought as it is the core text book for a uni module, not read just yet but looked good when I flicked through.
