Adagio Teas Varietea Variable Temperature Electric Kettle, 57 oz, Stainless Steel

This solidly built electric water kettle has been working well for me so far. It's pricey, but the construction seems to be of good quality. Sine I'm an avid tea drinker, I also love that there are different temperature choices. I'm a little disappointed there isn't a clear viewing strip on the outside where I can see the water level when refilling it. Aside from that minor inconvenience, I think it's worth the cost because I use boiled water everyday.***Update*** 1-2-194 months later and the kettle stopped boiling. The temperature lights seem to be functioning normally, but for whatever reasons, no heated water! Despite its hefty price, at least I gave it a try. I'm now looking to buy another electric kettle that doesn't cost as much and will last longer.

I had long wanted this kettle. I used it plenty and loved it. However, the thermostat has failed and it no longer holds the temperature properly. I suspect a new replacement kettle might fix this, but there's none offered for it. So here I am, with a $100 kettle that has no greater functionality than a $30 kettle (perhaps less, since there's no predictable temperature).

I loved an earlier version of this kettle, but this one is very different. For one thing, it is HUGE. Who needs that much water for a cup or two of tea? The most annoying thing though, is that, unlike the earlier model, you can't see how much water you are putting in. There is a measuring "window" underneath the handle where it is hard to see anyway, but it is stuck on the outside of the pot! You can't see the water level at all from the outside, so those markings are useless.

I was a little concerned at first as the first one I received broke Within 4 uses. The new one showed up and his work flawlessly since I've gotten it. My wife drinks white tea so the preset 180 degrees is perfect. I drink primarily black tea and it boils at 212 degrees as I've checked it with a digital thermometer I would have given it a five if the first one hadn't broken so quickly

I do like the adjustable temperatures for teas, I did not know that I was heating my water up too much for green tea. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a 205 temp for coffee. I know it is a tea kettle but why not have one more temp?

This is my second one. The first one still works but wanted another for my summer home. This one beeps when the water has come to temperature. Has multiple buttons for different temperatures. Large capacity for water. Great kettle.

Love the style, the temperature controls, keep warm setting, easy to clean, easy to handle!!!
