Outdoor Power Stake for Yard & Garden with 6 Outlets and 9 Foot Extension Cord - 14/3 SJTW

With 6 outlets to support, the cord is thick and well protected. There is a switch on the unit protected by a nylon cover that lights up when engaged. The stake is loose in the box and has to be screwed into the bottom of the panel. It is strong and flexes a little but does its job. The covers over the sockets are spring loaded and appear to seal well. Overall I am happy with the purchase and will buy more if I need them.

This is the second timer I have purchased with the 6' cord and 6 outlets. I live in a rural area so there aren't any street lights so I provide my own. I have white strands of lights all around my back yard (about 50 + strands) so when my little dogs go out at night, I can see them as well as coyotes, bob cats, deer, etc. I use these timers to cut the lights on at 9 pm and off at 12 am. They are waterproof and I can use them to provide power to my fountains, lights, blowers, weed eaters. They are awesome and the stakes are strong enough to put deep into the ground for support! Will buy again.Update: I have bought this item twice and I love it except it quit working even though it was a few months old. I contacted the Seller and they are replacing it at no charge. Will buy from this Seller again.

The timer on this is completely useless, although we did figure out how to set it without and included instruction manual.Works fine as a power strip, but if you want your lights timed consider another product.

Works as advertised. Although initally I thought it was broken. The timer works by raising the pins to make the “on” times and depressing the pins for “off” times. This is different than many timers where you only raise the pins for on and off. I took the time to read the directions and the inital problems I had disappeared.The beat part about this is your can literally make this timer turn on and off every 15 minutes if needed.

I never review products, but this time I must. I bought this item to replace a similar 3-outlet model I've had for over 15 years. After being buried in the snow last Christmas season, my original power block developed a short in at least one of the 3 outlets so I decide to replace it with this 6-outlet model. I stored it until Thanksgiving weekend when I decorate for Christmas. Unfortunately I didn't test it when I bought it in January, and I just found out that the switch doesn't work. A common complaint from the negative reviews I've read. So, I out of luck and $17.99. Let's see what Amazon will do with a brand-new out-of-the-box purchase bought in January and not needed until Christmas

I bought 2 of these to connect my christmas lights outside. After 6 days, one of them stopped working. The power switch will not stay on but if you put your finger on the switch the power flickers. I thought these would be good since they had a heavy gauge cord and the way the stake screwed on, but I guess I was wrong. I don't feel too confident the second one is going to last much longer. I am a bit disappointed in this purchase.

The cheap on/off switches failed within hours of accepting these Power Stakes in the mail. We purchased 6, 3 have failed already. We took them apart and cut the black wire form one end of the switch and soldered it together to bypass the switch. When the other 3 fail, we will do the same. Unless you are an electrician, find some power stakes without switches. We use these outdoors for Christmas decorations. Will not buy again.

After one week the on/off switch wouldn't stay on. Taped it on with electrical tape to get through the holidays. Not worth the hassle to return it but will not buy again!
