Alpha Medical20-30 mmHg Firm Compression Support Pantyhose. Italian Made

I bought these to help with some knee pain and swelling in the feet and ankles from medication I am taking. These tights (not pantyhose) are heavier, mostly opaque, have stronger seams and are sewn with the toes and heel in mind. The best way I can describe them is they are basically a compression sock in weight, texture, and material, that runs up your entire leg.Sizing seems to be a mis-match to their chart. I am 5’9”, 180 lbs, 9” ankle, 14” calf, 24” thigh so I bought the Size 5. The feet are very small and near impossible to get on. My fear is they will tear or run while trying to put them on at some point because of that. The legs and waist, while tight, fit fairly well and the compression is very strong. Overall, they are so tight you will need to be really patient and give yourself 10-15 minutes to get them on.Color of the nude is a pretty good match to my skin tone but they still look very much like an orthopedic stocking. Lastly, the heavy weight could be uncomfortable in warmer summertime weather but for now temperatures are cooler and they are fine.So far I’ve worn them only a few times but if they hold up the price for the quality is better than other more expensive products I have tried.

I will give this item a 2 star. I will be sending it back. The quality looks great. Very strong. Packaged nicely.My problem: VERY VERY VERY VERY difficult trying to get them on. I have a history of varicose veins, not cosmetic. I had surgery on both legs in 2014. Recently, I started having pain, thinking my varicose veins were back, I saw a vascular surgeon 2 weeks ago. My veins have not come back and she diagnosed me with lymphedema.I've had compression stockings before, so I knew they are hard to put on, but this takes the case. I'm 5'2, 176 and order 5x. I was sweating trying to put these on. My doctor prescribed 20-30mmhg stockings and said cheaper not getting them at a medical supply. It was difficult from the beginning. After pulling, tugging for 10 minutes I got to my high calf and started trying the other foot, which lead into 15 minutes, I STOPPED. There is no way, I had 15 minutes let alone additional 15 to 20 minutes each morning to put on stockings. I gave up. I wake at 4am and leave running out at 445am. I would have to wake at 3am. Can't. I will try others.

I wear them to bed PER DR. orders. @ 76 I am thankful the suport hose keeps me alive, Marty....

The compression is fabulous for the price. Quick delivery. I used them for a 12.5 hour shift. They didn't roll at the waist until about 10 hours in, which is better than even regular support hose on me. The size is good but probably would be better if I lost a little weight. I'm about 5'6" and 145 ish pounds. I got size 3. They really felt supportive. Hard to put on but it made me laugh at myself so it turned out ok. :) I had called the company and got a real person who answered my questions beforehand.

First time my legs felt good on the plane and once I reached my destination. I travel a lot, but don’t get up and move around on planes. Not good. So I made the purchase. I used them (twice) for 14-24 hour travel time, mostly on the plane. They are tight but they worked. To understand the feeling of compression, I suggest a ‘practice’ wear for 15-30 mins before a long haul.

These are sturdy compression hose. Not easy to get on or off but they do what they are supposed to do. If you have mobility issues, you might want a donning aid.

It has the right compression, that's hard to find sometimes. Git was food, I'm 5"5', 135lbs and size 3 fit well. I didn't think the lack of control top would be an issue, but they slip down if not worn with slacks.

Overall I like them, they fit really nice. The only thing I don’t like is they keep rolling down.

I've had many different pairs of compression stockings but these are by far the best ones I've ever had. They are hard to get on - like every other pair but they are TOUGH. You can even put them on without gloves and they'll last forever. The heel and toe are reinforced, I got the beige/nude colour and they are beautiful. I find I don't have to fuss with them much once I put them on. Some pairs its a constant fight, continually pulling them up from your ankles or knees. They provide instant relief for achy legs. They almost make me feel like I'm a regular person with a normal functioning circulation system. They also make my legs look like they have ankles lol. Love Love Love them.

I was very skeptical. I was afraid they would be dark brown or maybe a bit orange but they are a very natural nude. I'm 5'6 and 130lbs and I went with a size 4 and it fits perfect. I put them on with gloves. They are hard to put on. Very comfortable and exactly what I was looking for, for flying.

I thought these stockings were great. I didn't want to pay 100$ for prescribed stockings after my laser surgery so I took a chance with these stockings. I was nervous to order a 4x as I'm a large but I followed the chart and they fit perfectly. I ended up purchasing a pair from the doctor anyways and found the waist was way too tight and not comfortable but this pair was lower waisted and feels alot better.Can't go wrong with this pair of stockings!

I had varicose vein procedures done earlier this year and need these for long the airplane flight to Europe. There is good compression indeed, which makes them a little challenging to put on of course! Using latex or rubber gloves on your hands helps to grip them to pull up. They seem really well made, at a very good price. I'm glad I took the risk purchasing these!

Good quality size is bang on . first order got lost we never received seller was amazing got a second order out and we received them quick my wife said the quality is right up there.
