Skar Audio SDR-8 D2 8" 700 Watt Max Power Dual 2 Ohm Car Subwoofer

This Skar audio SDR 12-in D4 wired in parallel to 2 ohms and is 600W RMS and I'm only pushing 350 watts into it and it is so loud it hurts my ears being right behind the driver's seat in my Silverado. It was decently priced and even better when they go on sale. I used to have the IX 12-in D4 wired to 2 ohms as well and this speaker blows the other one out of the water with its deep lows and impressive loudness. Definitely worth giving it a try for a budget subwoofer it performs phenomenally. I can only imagine after the break in period. Definitely worth picking one up or two for that matter depending on your setup configuration. One is definitely plenty for me where I have it located. It shipped really quickly as well and I got it on time with my free shipping Amazon prime. Just remember to break it in respectfully. Skar audio recommends a minimum 24-hour break in. At half to low volume and at half too low power just to break them in properly. I only drive about an hour a day so it won't take me close to 24 days to break mine in but once they're broken you can crank up the wattage and the volume and they will sound amazing. I know my IX12 sounded amazing and over 2 years later still performs well. I put the IX12 in my wife's Kia forte and she loves it and it thumps really hard. My point being is if they're properly broke in they will last as any speaker should if properly broke in and properly powered with clean power.

Great bass on a budget!

Really heavy duty, well built sub, for the price. Handles Rated RMS. Sounds good, Its not Jl-Audio, But its really good for the price. Best sub in my opinion for under hundred dollars. This has nothing to do with the subwoofer itself. but the Only thing I didn't like was the Skar Warehouse is literally 25 minutes from me. But this subwoofer shipped from TEXAS, when it could have shipped from 15 miles away. Seems like such a waste of resources shipping this subwoofer to amazon warehouse in Texas, from the warehouse 15 miles away, Then, shipping it to me, It traveled over 2400 miles to make a 15mile trip. Well, its US trip at least. You would think they be a better way to handle shipping. Hopefully they were just out at the other distribution centers, I hate to think this is how it usually works. Great subwoofer, It likes to travel. lol

This Skar SDR-12 hits hard! The 1200W max power really pumps out deep, clean bass that shakes the whole ride without distortion. Dual 2-ohm voice coils give me flexibility with my amp setup, which is awesome. Build quality feels tough and the design looks sharp in my enclosure. If you want loud, tight bass that doesn’t break the bank, this sub’s a winner. Definitely recommend for anyone serious about sound!

I had 2 10" Skar IX series in the trunk area of my Odyssey and they just weren't cutting through when the windows were down. But I had had them for a few years and they were reliable and sounded great, so when I saw the the level up (SDR) 15" for $120 I jumped on it. No problem hearing the bass now. Unbelievable the difference between the 2 setups with the same wattage, same amp. Low budget Blaupunkt amp (200W rms-ish) is driving this thing with ease. I listen to a lot of metal that can be really hard on subs with the distortion, but this thing laughs at that. Digs deep for modern hip hop too. Never owned a 15 before and regret not switching earlier. 3 Cuft sealed box. Boom.

I didn't know the bass plays such an important role in music! I switched from Kicker to Scar and recommend everyone to do so 😈

hey guys i like the speakers the quality is fare and for the price i give it a thumbs up . Be aware very aware of the people skar is will straight take your money and not send you your whole order i ordered four 4 subs twice and only received Three 3 they don't care about the customer i have a friend at car toys in spokane washington that will sell you L 7s for a couple bucks cheaper any size pass the word on kyle is badass give him a call i promise you won't be disappointed.!!!

This sub kicks hard and sounds great. At 450 watts on a alpine amp in my 2001 gmc jimmy it pounds so hard turned up that after ten mins I have to turn it down because my head starts to hurt. Definitely can leave a gun in the drum.

Used for a home theater, sounds pretty good

Wired up for 8 ohm as a replacement for a 30 year old THX ultra SW-X1 passive subwoofer(120 litre cab) Not quite as smooth on the upper end as the OEM but has great extension and good beefy sound with tons of SPL available running on my Kenwood Basic M2A power amp. (220 RMS both channels driven@8/0.004%,and 526w dynamic power, per channel) Compared A/B with a Soundstage PS12D4 driver from the same price class(and same cabinet/room/amp) it was hands down to the Skar for low end extension. Definitely buying three more for my other cabinets. Both subs ran @80hz LPF.

Skar audio subwoofer is the best budget subwoofer available in the market. Amazing sound quality. It really heats hard.
