I am a design engineer for industrial applications. I travel a lot and have carried a brief case similar to this for the last 38 years. The handle on my old one started to get a little loose and I was concerned that it might leave me in a bad way in an airport or worse, so I found this replacement. I am quite pleased with it. It is handsome, rugged, and has as much space as the old one. The latches have similar combination locks and the handle is burly. I don't check my briefcase as baggage, so, do not expect it to see handling damage. I expect years of use from this case and recommend it to anyone for reasonable wear in an appropriate environment.

This is a great briefcase that I purchased at a very good price on Amazon, I use it every day on the road It has been through hell and back and it still looks great!I work as a Private Investigator for various law firms throughout the state. My job entails interviewing witnesses, and sometimes asking them to sign statements with respect to whatever it is that they may have witnessed. I use the briefcase as a desk to write out a statement. I also visit the scenes of motor vehicle accidents, at the scene of each, I take measurements and again I use this briefcase to write them on. It has been outside with me in all kinds of weather from sunshine to rain and snow; and the briefcase still looks great and with the expandable option I have enough room to carry my files as well as a ruler, a tape measure, a digital recorder, my badge (we don't need no stinkin' badges!)but I carry one anyway, as well my I.D. The ways things are going I may never even need another briefcase, but if I do, it will be another one of these!

I really wanted to like this case. It looked nice and was at a reasonable price.Out of the box, it seemed pretty well made. It felt and looked reasonably solid.Unfortunately, after only 2 days of moderate use (carrying some stuff like my iPad, glasses, etc. to/from work), it started to fall apart. Some of the seams started coming apart. Some of the leather started peeling back, revealing unsightly strands of glue and the plywood(?) underneath. I've attached a photo of the glue strands.I had to return it, which I was very sad about. I've been having a very hard time finding a quality attache.

I debated over and over whether I wanted to drop 100.00 on an attache case. After all, staples got cases for 40.00 bucks.Answer: WELL WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY!!!! Eye catching looks, better than the other guys attache. Impress everyone.The bottom line: Need an attache to carry some stuff and knock around? Go Staples. Need to impress? Buy this. You wontregret it!!!!

This is my first briefcase. I looked at some at staples and a few other stores. I wasn't sure if I wanted black or brown, of course I chose this brown one. The picture does not show the beauty of this case. The case looks much more expensive than a hundred dollars. The leather is real and nice, and black borders gives you more options with attire. The locks are nice, the joints are sturdy and the handle feels good. The interior is luxurious and well padded. The compartments are well made and thoughtfully design. One complaint I wish there was a fastening or glasp one of the pockets. Great buy and Amazon ships fast vey fast. I'm happy.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. Within four months, the latches are coming loose and will eventually fall off. I tried to see if I could have it replaced, and Amazon says it is past the return window. I am very disappointed and will now have to shell out more money to buy a better quality product - and I certainly won't buy it from Amazon. Poor way to treat a long-standing customer, in my opinion.

Over the years I have used leather bag type briefcases (if that is what they are called). So glad I made the switch to a real briefcase. Like putting on a good suit, it makes you feel more professional. I love how it gives me the ability to lock important items up. Lots of room. It has a padded sleeve with a leather Velcro strap that seems to be made for an Ipad. If fits perfectly. Right beside it is the same thing without the strap for a smartphone. The interior is made with a nice leather padding...nice to the touch and will absorb impacts well, plus will not scratch things. The only thing I can nit pick is the locks are not perfectly aligned with one another. I got the black one and plan on buying the Brown one as well.

This attache case is probably the most beautiful, elegant one I've had out of probably a dozen over the last 40 years. The color in the photo (a dark brown) was not what I got - a lovely medium tan. My secretary fell in love with it as she said the color exactly matches her favorite color in leather purses. And the dark accent lines really make it more attractive. The construction appears to be well done. In the top, behind the folder holders/dividers, it a pocket for a tablet into which my Kindle Fire HDX fits perfectly. The optional expansion by an inch will come in handy when I have too much to fit into this "executive purse." Also, it arrived about a week earlier than the estimated delivery date, a nice surprise indeed. And the price was right, saving about $35 off the list of $150.
