Nice!
Pleasantly surprised with the quality of this item. Ended up gluing the tabs on the backside of the unit. Once this was done the piece was very ridged. The final install is very professional looking.

It's okay.
It looks nice and fits well, but there is no way to secure your radio.

Installation Kit for radio/cd player
Have no complaints with this product. Purchased it to replace the radio/cd player in our Toyota Sienna. Is easy to put together if you have some wiring skills. Instructions easy to follow. Our son had the wiring done and the complete installation kit and radio installed in about 1 1/2 hours.

Quality and installation instructions
Quality: Seemed a little bit on the flimzy side for strength of construction. Probably O.K., but I'm not convinced that the plastic DIN and dash board cowling with its metal DIN insert would hold the AM/FM CD Receiver in the slot under bumpy road conditions without coming loose. So, I beefed it up with good old duct tape wrapped around the sides of the plastic DIN and around the metal DIN, so as not to interfere with inserting or removing the receiver. Other than that the installation kit fit perfectly into my car with no need for any adjustment.Installation instructions: Wasn't clear as to whether or not to use the rectangular plastic fitting ring that fits behind the face of the receiver. There were no instruction on what its purpose was. After experimentation I determined that I shouldn't use the plastic fitting ring because the receive wouldn't lock into the metal DIN slots when I used it.

Decent product, terrible instructions
I spent at least 30 to 45 minutes trying to figure out how on earth to secure my single DIN kenwood stereo to this unit. The instructions never explain what you are supposed to do. Well, after trial and error, what you need to do is:USE the metal sleeve that comes with your deck to secure it to this item. Not screws like I was hoping it would be. So the metal sliding holder connects to the deck, and at the front of the deck is where the business end is for the interface with this item. then you need to push out the tabs that keep the metal sliding holder and the deck from coming out from this item from the front. So, to explain, put the metal holder that comes with the new stereo on so that the "lip" is at the front of the deck, then slide the deck with the holder in from the front (if i remember correctly, and beware, it is a very tight fit). Then push out the tabs so it can't come out the other way. Then push the whole unit into the dash and carefully tighten it back in place.

You makes this kind of stuff
I will say that the finish and form of this kit is very nice after it is installed. Try to get a head unit in this - forget it. I had to make my own bracket and adapter to get the head unit to stay in place. The instructions are written for the product for sure, both not really meant to help install a head unit in an automobile.

Looks nice, works
Looks nice when installed and the storage compartment in top is handy. There is almost no support to secure the head unit into the adapter, so you are relying on the metal bending tabs that come on most head units. I got mine in there securely enough, but if you pushed on it hard, it would likey slide through the adapter. Worth the price though.

Four Stars
A bit flimsy feeling but did the trick and fits perfectly in the dash of my 2004 Sienna.
