Viable option...just don't update printer firmware!
The courts affirmed that competition in the ink cartridge business could not be obstructed by companies like Epson, but with clever "firmware upgrades" they make alternatives stop working. These cartridges work fine, and the trick is to ignore the printer manufacturers' alerts that firmware upgrades are available. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Firmware upgrades are poison to your freedom of choice in cartridge manufacturer. I will buy these cartridges again.

Uniwork ink a great alternative to Epson ink...
After seeing a box of Epson ink for my Epson XP-640 printer would cost almost $75.00, I looked for something a little "less-costly". I saw that Uniwork cartridges cost around $40.00, and that they guaranteed they would work, and if you had problems, you just had to contact them and they would try to fix the problem, so I bought a box. They worked perfect. My printer didn't "reject" them and I would definitely buy them again. In fact, even though they retail for about $40, I got 'em for $38. This is a great product.

good savings from name brand
Good that the product includes information on how to get past the initial rejection of the printer to a non-name brand product. Withholding last star because I want to see how long the cartridges last...might be 5 star worthy.

IT WORKS! (despite Epson firmware upgrade!)
Awesome job! I got an earlier set of inks from this company a while back and they were working great until Epson managed to not only update their firmware to not accept 3rd party inks, but updated the firmware to NOT ALLOW FOR DOWNGRADING FIRMWARE to a previous version. There was no recourse!!! Well, the old inks I had were a bust, nothing I can do about that, but as promised, these inks HAVE THE UPDATED CHIPS!! So happily, my Epson XP-830 has managed to avoid the dumpster as I absolutely refuse to pay $74 for inks - which is 50% more than what I paid for the printer in the first place!!!

Cartridges are not accepted by printer!!
I had ordered replacement cartridges from Uniwork before and they worked perfectly so I ordered another set of 5 XL cartridges, 3 colors, black and photo black, for backups. I don't print that many pages so these cartridges have sat here waiting for use until now, a couple months past the return date. Today I tried to install the black and photo black cartridges and my Epsom XP-830 printer will not accept either of the cartridges. Upon comparing the mounting side of these two cartridges with the two that I removed from the printer (the ones previously purchased from Uniwork that had worked fine) I see that they are not the same at all and this may be the reason the printer will not accept them.I'm now stuck with cartridges that DO NOT WORK! I thought I had found a reliable supplier of remanufactured ink cartridges but sadly Uniwork has not proved to be that supplier. I will look for other suppliers. I would not recommend Uniwork remanufactured ink cartridges to anyone.

Work perfect at a great price.
I am a member of a military honor guard team. I take photos at some of the services.I print many photos for members. These inkcartridges give perfect results. And the cost is about half of what I was paying. Great job

Don't update software and it's problem free ink!
I read a lot of reviews where people had trouble using these cartridges especially after doing an update and so I simply haven't installed any updates and it works great! I'm on my 2nd batch of these replacement cartridges and they work as well as OEM and I can't tell of any color discrepancies either.I have the Epson XP-830 printer.

Try these out.
So far, no problems. The colors look good (haven't tried photos yet) and my Epson XP-7100 treats them as though they are OEM. These save a ton of money! Not sure about page count total vs OEM because I didn't test for that. One important item floating around on internet: if using an Epson printer (and most likely other brands as well) do NOT install any updates as they may contain new firmware to change the code that the cartridges require to talk to the printer. This is the way the printer mfgs. attempt to lock out any third-party ink cartridges.
