Sioux Chief Mfg Sioux Chief 846-S9PK 6-1/2-Inch Cast Iron Strainer, No Size, No Color

I needed a new drain cover in the garage (the old one rusted through) so I tried using Amazon. The one I received fit the drain hole perfectly and looks great too. It is very sturdy and hopefully will last many years.

This is very heavy weight and great quality. Worked perfect for my drain.

Needed a grate for an open drain that bugs were coming up in an old house. This one was a perfect fit and true to size! Heavy enough to not need to worry about gluing it down, and holes small enough for big bugs. I’ll update if it ever rusts fast or anything.

I bought this to cover up the floor drain in my basement where the humidifier and hvac drain. Appearance was the goal so unfortunately I was unhappy with the sticker that the manufacturer placed on it. It did not come off easy by itself but with some help with mineral oil I was able to remove it and the sticky residue. At 6 1/2 inches it fits nicely in the hole which is about 6 3/4 to 7 inches. It's no more than 1/4 inch thick so after I breaking off the screws that held the original cover in place it sits pretty level with the lip of the drain. Being made of cast iron as coated to prevent rust it should last many years.

Had an open drain hole in my house for years. Found this, size seemed right, bought it, fit perfectly, does the job. No more open drain....

I made one stop (45 miles away) looking for a deck drain for my garage. Tractor Supply said they only come in plastic and sent me to hardware store. (Called them as they were 30 min away and they didn't have them either) A quick search on amazon instead, press purchase now, and it arrived a couple days later. Looks nice, fits perfectly. This is thick enough I'll be able to drive over it with no worries.
