It Works For What I Needed.
I've used wire baskets before. This says it is a net and it acts like a net. None of them hold their shape. They get tangled. This one is no exception. However, it did exactly what I needed it to do. I bought it to use in my Instant Pot Duo80 to cook eggs. Being lazy, I ran it and other things through the steam before I use. The packaging looked like it had traveled around the world but the net wasn't damaged in any way. The only thing that was off was where the ring was welded together. I'm not sure how long it will hold but I'm going to use it until it breaks. There was no rust on any of the wire.I cooked 2 dozen eggs in my Instant Pot and could have gotten more if I had tried. I had to work a little to get the handles to lay flat before closing the lid. I was able to pick the net up and transfer the eggs to ice water using the handles. This allowed me to transfer the eggs quickly and avoid overcooking them.If you are looking for something that will stand on its own, you don't want this net. However, if you are looking for something that expands to hold your items inside a pot, this works well. The other nice thing is that it collapses down flat making it easy to store.

More than I expected!
I ordered this basket/strainer because I really wanted to use it to catch crawdads. I figured I could tie off to the lifting handles and lower it into the creek with some bait in the basket. The collapsible mesh should provide a flat surface to display the bait, but also become a wall to prevent escape when pulling the basket up and out.I ordered ONE of these, and this morning when it arrived there were TWO in the package, and ALSO a serated blade stainless steel kitchen knife. (See pic) A cheap knife, but will be great for our camp kitchen. There was no letter of explanation for either the extra basket or the knife, all of which is appreciated. This product was the best price I found for a Prime listing, being exactly as described, and the bonus stuff earns it 5 stars.

Good lettuce washer
One I had b4 had red plastic around the handles. Works ok.

No complaints, ideal for boiling eggs.
Perfect for boiling eggs. Preload eggs (no dropping them into pot one by one) all at once. Mesh prevents eggs from contacting the hotter bottom of pot, and the simmering water circulates more evenly. Removal is just as easy and all at once so cooking time is uniform. Then the same ease of placing them into ice water to quickly chill. Stainless steel makes it dishwasher safe. Ingenious handles fold down to make this "chain link" contraption into a self standing container. The only thing to look out for is that, unavoidably being it is a wire mesh, you have to handle and store this basket carefully. But if you do it should last a very long time.

Convenient for hard boiled eggs
I bought this product to facilitate making hard boiled eggs. It works very well for that purpose. It comfortably holds a dozen eggs (it might hold more but I've never tried) and fits in my big pasta pot. It doesn't feel particularly robust, but it holds the weight of the eggs just fine. I only use it occasionally (it's nice that it folds flat for storage) and haven't seen any signs of rust so far, but after I use it I only need to rinse it and let it air dry. I don't think I'd trust it not to rust in the dishwasher.

Didn't know I was missing from my canning supplies!
The wire basket sure has made blanching tomatoes to get the skin off so much easier! Wish I had gotten one of these 20 years ago!

I like it!
This fits perfectly in my 8 quart Instant Pot! It collapses flat. I was concerned that it would be difficult to clean after I poached chicken in it. I spread it out over the top rack of the dishwasher and it came out clean!

Does not fit "Instant Pot"
I'm sure this steamer basket will work fine, but it does not fit in an "Instant Pot" pressure cooker - which is the reason I bought it. It is flimsy and I'm guessing won't last decades - but I'll keep it and use it for conventional steaming - if I ever do that again - I love steaming in the Instant Pot and it's so easy.... just looking for a decent size steamer basket for the instant pot
