Nature Products 1002 Hummerfest Hummingbird Feeder

This feeder is easy to clean and fill. It comes with a little brush to clean the spouts for the beaks. This feeder has small tunnel like spouts for the beaks much like a trumpet flower. It seems more natural for them when drinking. The bowl is clear which makes it easier to see how much nectar is left and if the nectar has been contaminated with some kind of miniscule trash. The size is perfect since I only use 6ounces of nectar due to changing it every 3-4 days! The hanger is also strong. I'm strongly considering buying a couple more of this particular model to replace my other saucer style made by another great company. This one isn't as 'pretty' in the decorative sense but has a clean simple design that blends in a more natural look. My thumb buzzards seem to sit longer, drinking more than before. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

My Hummingbirds love this feeder, I love it because it's easy to clean, fill, all good but slightly expensive.

I have been feeding hummingbirds for over 30 years. I have used all kinds of feeders. I think this is the best feeder by far. Here's why.1- The birds choose this feeder when it would be easier to use others. There is something about the feeder ports, they mimic a tubular flower, whereas other feeders just have a hole. The birds fight over this feeder, even when there is another kind of feeder right next to it.2- The yellow-jackets don't come to this feeder, the holes seem too small for them to get through. (Take care not to over-fill, which allows the bees to drink from and then defend the feeder.)3- It doesn't leak sugar water, so it doesn't attract bees/yellow-jackets.4- The size is just right. Big enough not to need to be refilled every day, but small enough to empty before the liquid goes bad on the 3rd day.5- The ant moat has an overflow release, so the nectar doesn't get diluted in the rain.6- The top is easier to remove and replace than others.The only negative is that I wish it had a liquid measuring mark for 8 and 12 ounces.I still have the original Hummerfest feeder I bought about 20 years ago, it's that well made (but not as pretty as this clear red). I put them in the shade mostly, as it should be for the birds, so the nectar doesn't get too hot to drink.I love this feeder, the birds love it, and I highly recommend it.

I love the fact that it is red so that there is no need to use dyes in the hummingbird food. It's dishwasher safe, and simple to fill with no spills. We only have one female hummingbird in our yard this year, but she went to this one immediately over the the other one we have. She uses the littles perches too! The biggest downside for us is that somehow flies manage to get inside so it has to be cleaned more often

Worst design of the dozens of hummer feeders I’ve owned. The sides are flat, so it catches even the slightest breeze and blows around maniacally, tossing nectar everywhere. The birds dislike the movement and I’m constantly having to refill it. Not to mention the deck is now splattered and sticky. Really bummed because it’s cute and the perfect size! Unless you’re going to mount it on a pole or place it somewhere that never gets any wind, I don’t recommend this feeder.

I have woodpeckers. The cover is not tight like my Audubon saucer type feeder. I am concerned the woodpecker will hurt themselves. I found one dead under an old hummingbird feeder, they have to hang upside down to eat. I did put a plastic dishpan with potting soil to land in if they fall. Yes I like woodpeckers too. Anyone else have woodpeckers on this feeder?Also, don't like have flimsy the perches are, or that the lid is somewhat clear.Added one star back. Even though the lid seems loose I tested it and it doesn't drip from the sides, only from the holes which would be normal. I tested my Audubon with the top that seems to fit better, it leaked like crazy from the sides. Go figure.

The media could not be loaded.  We never had ants! I thought that was amazing as every other hummingbird feeder we had, we always had ants. The hummers loved this and right now they are storming this feeder getting ready to leave. It didn't take them long to find it and we had no other feeders out. Cleaning and refilling is a breeze and it is dish washer safe!

I have been looking for this type of feeder for years. I have a pair from Perky Pet from about 15 years ago. These are 2 piece, easy to clean, and most importantly have the overflow ring. This prevents the grapefruit dish soap I put in the ant guard ring from getting into the food if it rains. I have one similar that only has the ant guard ring in the center. I did not notice the lack of the perforated overflow ring. When it rained, the soap got into the hummingbird solution. I could only use it under a protected eave.I was so happy to find these, I ordered 3. And ants HATE the grapefruit Ajax dish soap, so I don't have to worry about them getting into the food. Very, very happy with this purchase. And they even came with little brushes to clean the feeder holes. Most excellent!

Great quality product. Sturdy and great sized, I'm confident I will get years out of this feeder.
