I made my purchase over a month ago and placed it near a heating source where I had seen some droppings. Even though I have mice, I bought the rat sized trap. I bought a mouse size trap from another manufacturer and never caught a single thing and I was having more mouse sightings.Yesterday, I decided to move the rat sized trap to the kitchen which is unfortunately where I'd been seeing mice on occasion. When I returned from work I had a mouse. As I was studying I dozed off at 9:30pm and woke up at 11:30 pm and I had another mouse. So, in spite of the many negative reviews, I have to say that this product has been a great help to me. Hopefully it makes my NY winter more tolerable as these mice seek to find heat in my apartment;)

Junk! Doesn't work
Set the unit up following instructions. Mice in the garage raiding the sunflower seed container. Put the container in the basement and loaded the trap in the garage with about a teaspoon of sunflower seeds. Put the seed all over the plates. Set the unit ...flashed green then flashing red every 5 sec. Checked the next morning steady green light. No Mice but all the sunflower seed husks were left in the trap. Did the same procedure the next night with peanut butter. Peanut butter gone and mice very happy with all the treats! JUNK!

Bait Gone - No Critter to be Found
Tried 2 times. Loaded bait and turned unit on. Next day, no bait and no rodent to be Found. Odd thing was that the light pattern did change to indicate that the trap was triggered. Oh well...

Not happy at all three different times I put peanut butter in there and something is eating the peanut butter and I’m not getting anything

Junk... first night I hate it and set it up and the mouse gos in and lot of noise and mouse runs away... second night he didn't want anything to do with it.. third night I put different bate in the back again and I tilted the unit up on a angle so th mouse would climb in and slide to the back.. so he went in and did just that slid to the back and I could here the unit making a electric noise for 5 mins then it stopped and it turned green and the mouse finally died. This thing said high voltage and said it kills squirrels pff. No way.. your damn house will burn down by the time that squirrel dies cuz he will be on fire

Product works great. Kills quickly, easy to use and clean. I haven't had much success with one particular extremely intelligent rat who crawls all over it but won't go inside no matter what bait I use. But it has quite successfully taken care of all of his family and friends.To attract the rodents into the trap, just use whatever they are trying to get into in your cupboard. I used bread, cat food, crackers, cookies, and peanut butter quite successfully.

Excellent trap
We have had a mouse and rat problem (one of each). Nothing we used did the job. The first night I set up this box it killed the mouse. I bought a different brand that cost 3 times what this trap cost and it never worked. This one does what it says. I use different bate than peanut butter though because it is easier to clean (I use a small piece of chicken). I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone that has a rodent problem.

Faulty product, doesn't work
Bought 3, none of them work worth a darn! The Victor ones did work great, til they stopped working after 2 months, thought we'd try these but these don't work at all.
