Dory Story

Bought this book used for a future lesson. Great story! Good condition.

My Grandsons LOVE this book! The first time we read it, my 4 year old Grandson held tight to me and had the shivers with the "worry" that was happening in the book. Then with the fun ending, hearing him laugh and feeling his body relax was so precious! My 8 year old Grandson at the same time was so enthralled with the story and started his own "pretend" story. They love to read it every time, even when they know the ending now!

Great story with a twist at the end.

Love this story as much as my three granddaughters ages 3, 5, 8.

I read this book to my sons when they were young!!! Their favorite story! I bought 3 used that were all in excellent shape !! The bonus was I met the author and got them signed!!

We first bought this book after a whale watch on Cape Cod. My mom had purchased it for my then 6 year old son. I took a look at it and questioned my mom why she would buy a book about a boy going out in the ocean alone, but when I got to the last page I understood! My son then brought it in to school when he was "Lovie of the week"and the teacher LOVED it too. We had to get her a copy!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book!!

While I wasn't as sure about the objects to find in this story, the story itself was really cute. The little boy decides to go out into the ocean and is fascinated with the fish. As he travels further and further out into sea, he watches as the fishes he's observing get eaten but progressively bigger fish until he's scared and wants to go home. While I had my concerns that this would scare a child, the ending revealed that it was the boy's imagination and all the characters he was observing are in his bathtub.

A nightly routine for grandpa and grandson is to read this book. They both love fishing and this is the best. I gave this book to my niece and nephews' children and discovered that they went to school with Jerry Pallotta's kids. And that the pictures of the beach were from their hometown.
