New Wave of British Heavy Metal - '79 Revisited

Was so happy to find this at a fair price. Amazing stuff, most of which I missed the first time around. I somehow didn't know about or pay attention to this release in the 90's, major mistake. A must have for lovers of old and mostly obscure NWOBHM.

It's a nice package of a little bit of everything that has to do with Heavy Metal. If you're a fan, you may love it. If you're not, don't waste your time.

A great reminder of a special time for me. Originally produced for Sounds which pioneered the NWOBHM and later produced Kerrang, this is a fair review of the bands involved. It shows the influence many of these had on subsequent bands, Maiden, Saxon, Girlschool, Vemom and Duamond Head are all here together with many others who were the mainstays of many an all nighter. Along with Metal for Muthas it is an essential snap shot of an important movement.
