My kids love these! There are fun creatures, magic, problem solving, mistakes and fixes, moments of self doubt and building self confidence, kindness and caring, basically everything I want my kids reading about. We’re three books in and they can’t get enough. Definitely recommend!

My daughters 3 & 5 love these stories in their yoto. They were so excited to get these books. Such a great story and I love that they are learning as they enjoy the adorable story!!

My 4yo daughter absolutely adores these books! I also enjoy reading them, which is definitely an added bonus!

Great book series for any kid that loves science and mystical creatures. It's about a little girl and her cat who try to help these mystical creatures with whatever issues they may have. She uses science and problem solving to help them. My daughter who is 8y, I would say it was a moderate to hard read for her.

Me and My children love to sit in the car on our dives listening to these books. We listen to Zoey and Sassafrass while they wander within their world and discover their power to positively impact it. Through actively using their observation and problem-solving skills, they help wonderful mystical creatures and monsters of all kinds out of all sorts of problems. These books help teach my children how to think and overcome the obstacles in their path and others. That kindness is never too hard.

no dislikeslove the kitty Sassafras and the girl and her mom and dad seem to be a nice family - I've read the first 2 books and already hooked! - but in book 1 it sets the stage with the magic animals -she and her mom share the ability to see magical animals but the dad doesn't though the mom told him about it - so it's something she and her mom are sharing, at least so far she conducts experiments to determine things. the pics are black and white and are cute andd there are actual ch apters with what I think are a lot of words along with a short glossary in the back. I'm in my 50s and enjoy the story so they're holding my interest

These are a favorite series for 7-8 year olds. Great next step from Magic Tree House.
