Discs One & Two include his show at The Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY, on 30th March 1985 while Prince & The Revolution were on the Purple Rain Tour of that year. Discs Three & Four feature the show Prince performed in 1991 with the New Power Generation at that year's Rock In Rio Festival, played in Rio De Janeiro, during a year when otherwise Prince wasn't touring. Disc 5 is a ''Bonus CD'' which includes the original versions of many songs Prince covered and was influenced and informed by throughout his life / career.

This is a must buy. For you Prince fans.
My favorite CD is the Purple Rain Tour Live in Syracuse NY at the Carrier Dome. It brought be back when I first saw Prince and the Revolution at the Nassau Colosseum. To bad there is no DVD of this live concert. I know that they did release a VHS tape back in the day of The Purple Rain Tour. But they never re-release a dvd version.

Good collection of songs - horrible quality 😩
Service was good - product came before promised date.The quality of the recording is not satisfactory 😩 Very thin brittle mix - I perhaps have a greater expectation than most ! Because I have been an audio file since the 60’s si having a trainer ear is kind of a curse but on the other hand very satisfying 😀Just wanted to alert others of my dissatisfaction .... to possibly save them money and time as well

I’m a major Prince fan and anytime I see an opportunity to make my collection bigger. I go for it. I have the Prince symbol tattooed on my left shoulder.

Some good stuff...was disappointed that the "songs that inspired" CD is not Prince covers of those songs...maybe I didn't read closely enough

Great, but not exactlywhat was advertised
This product was billed as a 3 disc 5 cd set with discs 1 & 2 appearing to be the famous Syracuse gig 1985 with disc 3 & 4 being the 1991 Rock in Rio 90 min gig. (this presumption was based on the advertised track list shown on the back of the box). The 5th disc is a bunch of random 1960s &70s tracks that may or may not have influenced Prince... But what was sent differed slightly with the Syracuse discs being replaced by a Batman era 1990 live in Madrid 2 disc set. This "Little Box of Prince" was sold by Amazon for £13.51 whereas the Rock in Rio 2 disc set alone is £14.97 and the Madrid gigs are not available on Amazon at all so its hard to be unhappy, just be aware you may not get exactly what you thought you'd ordered.

Good Prince live..if you're a fan you'll love it..only 4 CD's are Prince though..even though it says 5 CD set of Prince...that's why they only got 3 stars...the Prince CD's are excellent quality.

Schlechte Tonqualität - Bad sound quality
Es sind zwei Konzerte auf jeweils zwei CDs, also vier CDs. Die fünfte CD enthält irgendeine Zusammenstellung von Titeln, die Prince inspiriert haben könnten. Die Tonqualität der Konzertaufnahmen ist unterirdisch, das hätte ich mit einem tragbaren Kassettenrekorder in Mono und dem Mikrophon in der Jackentasche besser hingekriegt. FINGER WEG!!!Two live recordings on two cds each, that makes four cds. Number five contains a random collection of songs that might have inspired Prince. The sound quality of the live recordings is poor, very poor. I could have done better with a portable tape recorder in mono and the microphone hidden in a pocket of my jacket. HANDS OFF!!!

Great but too many live tracks
Prince is great but this set has too many live albums for my taste. Even though Prince was still very musical live, I wanted to hear the studio version on my high end HiFi.
