Brixton Men's Barrel Classic Driver Cap

Nice cap, has two size labels: one says medium, the other says 7 1/4. Based on actual fit, the medium is 7 1/8 size. It is light weight but still maintains its shape, 60% wool and 40% synthetic, made in China. This one is a dark gray & black plaid which visually looks like charcoal gray. I also have it in navy & gray which looks a little lighter overall. The first one I bought at Nordstroms and the second at Amazon. Both were the exact same price, I think 34 bucks.

Bought it a few months ago for driving. Bought the XL to make sure it would fit. Biggest complaint people have is it is too loose. That's because they never tack the inside rim. After a week of wear, I had a good idea I needed 1/8" tacked on each side. Takes a few minutes to tack the inside rim. Hat stays in place well over 80 mph in a Miata. Also like how the back is low enough to cover the back of my head.It is a warm hat when not driving. So on a hot day with a 40 plus mph breeze I am comfortable. But walking around on a hot day, it will heat up after almost an hour. On the flip side, I will enjoy it on cold winter walks.

Very comfortable (and I'm picky). The medium is indeed a 7-1/4" - after washing, it snugged up a little bit, which was good since I'm a 7-1/8". I bought the "washed black", which is 100% cotton. That's what it says on the tag. The liner seems more like satin/linen, but it washed and dried (low-heat) just fine. The "washed black" is a really nice look - easy to dress it up or down, and it looks kinda like a poor man's hat, rather than some rich golfer hat or something.

Good quality construction but sized larger than expected, and getting even more loose with use. I'd advise buyers to get one that might seem a little bit snug but you can count on it stretching a bit with use and eventually fitting perfectly. Materials are very good, as is the construction.

I gave this as a gift to a friend and he loves it. The lining keeps his head warm in the cold weather; and the wool/poly blend also adds warmth. I'm glad I bought it. I hope Amazon has a good selection of this style summer hat in cotton in a few months, because he really likes this particular style.

Good cap, but I guessed wrong on the size, and it's a hair (!) too large. I'll keep it, however, as it is warm and comfortable -- besides looking nice.

I have told many people about Brixton hats since i bought this one and a few more are on the way. The stitching is perfect, the inside of the lining is very well done and looks very elegant. If you are looking for a quality barrel snap cap, brood, or any other style I would only recommend Brixton I plan on supporting Brixton hats for a long time.

Love my Brixton barrel caps! I just wish my head wasn't between sizes.
