Gotta Know How to Use It
No, it doesn't have a pilot bit. There must be some reason for that. I read a comment from a different manufacturer that a pilot bit is not good on glass. Be that as it may, I made a template, or guide, out of cardboard by folding a box, making a double layer, then drilling the hole into the cardboard with the Flyshop bit. Tape the template onto the wall. Tilt the bit at about a 45 degree angle, slow drill speed, then attack the tile wall. As the bit bites into the tile, bring the bit to a flat position. It stays put, doesn't "travel", and the hole is soon made, very cleanly and accurate. Keep the tile wet to preserve the bit, keeping it cooled down during the drilling. It's a well made bit.

Got the job done but you get what you pay for
Expect 1 time use. I suppose the only thing Amazon is good for is getting cheap low quality junk which sometimes gets you out of a pinch.

Do not buy. Not balanced
Received it today and put it to use for two 5 1/2 drains. Connected it to my Milwaukee drill and first pull of the trigger it’s out of balance. Total of 1/4 inch. It’s deemed useless. I’d like to return and get refunded. I’ve ordered over 50 hole saws from amazon and this was the first one that was useless. -5 stars

Worthless drill bit
This drill does HAVE A PIVOT center point drill point. Other models I have purchase have a center point drill bit that stabilizes the larger bit . WOUND NOT any again WORTHLESS.

Ideal for Grohe shower valve install
For the price, this is great value. I didn't want to spend a fortune for something I would only use once, namely cutting tile for a shower stall valve. You will need to come up with some kind of "pilot bore" to contain this thing if you don't have a steady hand. I saw some complaining on here due to a lack of a pilot drill. It's "grinding" the material, not "cutting" in the same way a drill does. A pilot drill would crack the underlying material, otherwise we'd be buying a hole saw.
