I got this to wear with a costume at a renaissance faire. It worked great and kept me shaded in the 95-degree weather. Such a great purchase, and the quality is good for the money. I would purchase again. It comes with a cute carrying bag as well. This would make a nice gift.

I am one of those goths who likes a parasol when I'm out in the sun, so I bought this for a vacation I was taking to several ghost towns in Central Nevada. I spent a week out in the harsh August sun, and this umbrella kept me cool (as much as can be expected, anyway!) and protected. I experienced no burning of any kind, and that is a HUGE plus.However, the parasol is not as sturdy as I hoped. One piece of the handle won't click into place, so the handle isn't functionally as long as it should be, which is a disappointment. And at one point, the parasol was caught by the wind and turned inside out, mangling three of the spokes, which are extremely lightweight and fragile. I was very disappointed at how easily the parasol was damaged so badly. It was still useable for the rest of the trip, but certainly not as elegantly as I wanted.I got the piece home and dismantled it, and I've repaired the broken pieces with pieces of coat hanger. I've also added support to the undamaged spokes to hopefully prevent a similar thing from happening in the future. I'm overall very pleased with the parasol, but I do wish it was constructed more strongly in the first place.

I bought this parasol to use at an outdoor wedding at a golf course (no shade whatsoever). It was perfect! You do have to practice opening it a few times, as the mechanics are a bit clunky...and it can be difficult to roll back up and secure with the wrap/snap. It kept the 85°F sun off me and I looked so stylish!

It is not misleading as it is just as beautiful. It is also a big umbrella even though it looks compact. So you don’t have to worry about its ability to protect from the sun or rain. It can also be used as an accessory

Beautiful but doesn't lock. If you hold it open whats the use.it seems sturdy and a nice value if it works. I returned one thinking it was a fluke but they sent me the same with no lock at the top. Sending it back again

This umbrella is so pretty! I get compliments all the time. Also incredibly functional. Keeps the sun off and cool. I bought it in May of 2020. It's now July 2022, and I have used it every sunny day since (granted, I live in Oregon).I decided to buy a second umbrella, so I could use the fabric to embellish a matching corset. The one I bought in 2020 is still working great.
