Best heater over the past 7 years, I tried.
I use this to keep my 150 gallon turtle pond warm during the winter. In Hawaii, we don't get too cold, but cold enough for my red-ear sliders to suffer. This little heater works wonderfully and keeps the tank perfectly warmed for them and doesn't "strain" to keep the pond warm. I tried several other heaters and they all burned out within a month, but this is going to be year 3 for us. I am delighted with it.

Small aquarium heater
Works well even though I turned it on before the water was added and it partially melted the heat cover. I should read the directions first. My problem, but glad it still works well.

Great Purchase
These heaters are really reliable and last a long time. They are a decent price too. It’s been almost 2 years and I’m still running mine with no issues as of yet.

I would buy again from this company.
Works great. Good quality. The only complaint is that the digital thermometer that came with it is inaccurate. Don't bother using it as my reading was about 2 degrees off.

Maintains temperature well
Works really well, almost too well. Very quiet, but has a little light on it that can bother you overnight if you're really sensitive to light when you're sleeping like I am. It works really well at getting to temperature and maintaining that temperature, however if you have fish that are particularly temperature sensitive, make sure to check the temperature regularly, just stick your finger in it and see if it seems too warm. I set up the tank and this heater a little while before getting a fish so that it could get up to temp and I noticed that it got a little warmer than expected and turned it off. It comes with a little sticker thermometer, but it doesn't give an exact temperature, it gives a range of temperatures and ones it goes above a certain temperature, it won't display it if it goes below that temp, so I recommend getting a thermometer if you're feeling particularly nervous about it, but overall it's a really good product and I really like it. It gets up to temp in a good time and maintains that temp well

Fixed Temperature Control
I purchased this heater as a replacement since my last heater finally gave out. The heater itself does its job, it heats the water to temp and keeps it somewhat to where it’s set. It was a great addition having the temp probe and digital readout. I have tested it against another heater’s internal control and mercury thermometer and it seems to be mostly accurate. My only issue, and reason for giving this thermometer a four star review, is because the temperature dial on the top of the heater, are the ONLY temperatures you may choose to heat your aquarium. It is not variable, or adjustable. I found if I set the heater to 75, the tank would sit around 72, and if set to 79, it will stay at 79. The seven degree swing seemed rather large IMO. Like I said, the temp is not variable, and if the selector on the heater is not lined up with a number, the heater will not turn on at all or heat the aquarium. All in all it does its job, but if you want variability when selecting a temperature, spend a little extra money and buy a heater with that option.
