Stopped the odor from shower drain. No problems after a couple months.

Functional yet pricey
Works very well. I have to dock a star because the product is grossly overpriced for what it is. Delivery was lightning fast but of course this is built into the price.UPDATE: still working 2 years later. I do have to remove about every 3 months to clean soap scum and hair that causes the flapper to lodge slightly open releasing odor, but this isn't the product's fault. If it lasts another two years, it will get another star and be 100% worth the money.

Not a complete seal
Did not completely seal. Have basement drain with no p-trap. Used for 2 months. Gnats still able to crawl past flap and sewer smell is still present. Not worth the money.

Material fatigue makes this a poor performer
Worked initially then failed. It works by a flap flipping up to close the drain. That iorks fine until material fatigue sets in - then it no longer seals and you are back where you started. Skip this one.

Easy to install, way over-priced, will see if it passes plumbing inspection before final judgement.
Super easy to install, just remove drain cover and push into drain pipe. Surprised at how small and cheap it feels. Utterly ridiculous that this thing costs over $20. Plumbing code requires a trap primer, but Sureseal claims that this meets code as an alternative. I'll update this review after the plumbing inspection. If it passes inspection it would (almost) justify the price. If it doesn't this is a rip-off and false advertising.

Great product!
Does what it says...keeps any airflow and gases out while allowing water down. Used in a laundry room for a drain that rarely if ever gets water. Installation involved: putting it on the drain.Great product!

works great at keeping odors from coming up through the shower drain. The vent for our shower must not have been installed correctly, this fixed the issue. This is the 2nd generation of the product. I had the first one for about 4 years before it needed to be replaced. I had it installed in a shower that gets used 3-4 times a week so it definitely proved durable. Hopefully this one will last as long as the first one. Just make sure you measure your shower or floor drain to ensure this will fit. It will not work with a bath tub drain.
