Perfect Applicator for the Purpose
I wish I had known about this for the first two weeks of my treatment! This is a simple, easy, effective way to administer the required meds in the perfect way for optimal efficacy. Thanks, DoseRite!!

This works well and comfortably
Customer service responded quickly to my question. Others have pointed out that medication is wasted and this is true. Perhaps the applicator could come with pieces that screw directly to tubes. A couple of different sizes to fit different tubes....

Makes things easier and cleaner
Clean way to insert medication rectally. The only thing I don’t love is that some medication stays inside tube which I feel is a waste of medication, otherwise, it’s great.

Worth It!
Applying meds can be a real pain in the buttocks (pun), so much so that it makes me crack up (pun #2). I was going back and forth on this one and I’m so glad that I didn’t sit (pun #3) on this any longer. It’s absolutely with the money! I wish my dr had told me about these, it seems assinine (pun#4) to not suggest these at the very beginning. The quality is great, and I didn’t have the use the jar at all since it comes with a replacement lid so you can screw the applicator onto the meds which saves a lot of trouble. It may seem expensive, butt (pun #5) just do it. Having a fissure is the absolute worst, this will make it that much easier to recover and so much less painful when applying meds.

Good idea, but bad design!
I tried this for my anal fissure. Had high hopes. Was not only disappointed but left in more pain than before! Here are the problems I noticed: 1. The slit should have been shorter and higher, as most of the ointment ends up coming out from the lower 40% or so, while the upper 60% is practically useless. 2. The design is wasteful as it is. To add salt to injury, some of the ointment that came out of the lower 40% "folds" into the upper 60% as you pull the applicator out causing even more wastage. 3. I inserted the applicator with the slit aligned in the 3-9 O'clock position as I did not want it to scratch my fissure which is located at 6 O'clock like most people. Well, it ended up scratching the anal walls in the 3 and 9 O'clock positions and I'm suffering from that additional pain as I'm writing this review. Frustrating! 4. Point #3 brings me to the slit edges. They should have been more blunt/rounded. Since they were designing an applicator specifically for anal fissures anyway, I really feel they should have put in more thought. This could have been a great product.

Effective
Great system if your pharmacy doesn't already provide it. Got the pharmacist to provide medication in a large syringe which was easily emptied into the dosing bottle. Very easy to use. A little chore to clean, but hot water and perhaps a little rubbing alcohol do the trick. I found I would need to reuse the dosing syringes and they tended to stick after a couple of uses. Leaving water in the syringe after cleaning and re-flushing it before use fixed that issue.

Complete solution
With out a doubt, the best solution for a potentially messy, difficult problem. Using normal tube and dispenser, there is no way to guess how much you used, or where it went. But with DoseRite you know exactly how much you use and it gets where you need it. The product designers seemed to think of everything, all the attachments are perfect for use.

Must have product for fissure patients
Great product, its quality needs to be improved only after couple of times of usage. It starts leaking. Syringes should be made more rugged at top end does not tighten completely after 2 usages. May be the batch I got is very bad.

Thank goodness for the clever Doctors who invented this anal fissure cream applicator. Having struggled for months just applying to exterior , with no improvement I was in despair. The applicator works really well and gets the Diltiazam to where the fissure is,at last. Slowly improving ,adjusted between laxido x2 dat and isphagula one a day seems to have solved constipation from just using isphagula ,despite drinking loads. A big thank you ,looking forward to being pain free, made worse as I am crippled and have spinal issues that trigger sciatica and mean I sit down a lot, having done a very physical job which lefte delightfully crippled .

Great quality, just a bit delivery delay.

When you buy a medical product, advertised to reduce pain and help healing. You really don’t want to wait almost 2 weeks for delivery. Good product, poor service

Although very pricey (bordering on a scam) for a box of plastic bits, it makes the process of applying ointment so much more comfortable, consistent and effective. Please note: If the syringes fail (which they will, after a week or two) they can be replaced with any 1ml Luer Lock syringes; the screw fitting is identical.

Each syringe only lasted a week before plunger detached. They appeared to react with the rectalgesic. Cleaning with soap and water made no difference. Thought i had a bad batch but replacement was the same. They work but at over 100£ for 8 weeks they are expensive.
