PastaCheese Fresh Medium Square Pumpkin Ravioli, 14 Ounce (Pack of 4)

So these ravioli arrived today (more than a day early!) and the box says "Perishable", so I opened it immediately. Inside is a Styrofoam box, with 2 ice packs and a message stating, "Keep Frozen". But the ravioli weren't frozen, just cool from the ice, so I thought that perhaps it meant to freeze whatever you're not going to eat. I opened one package, put the rest in the freezer, and proceeded to cook a dozen. The cooking directions, 9-12 minutes, are for frozen ravioli (I know from experience), so I put them in boiling water and lowered the heat, until they all floated to the top and were a perfect al dente. But, although these ravioli are tasty, they're very small, barely filled, and since there's no ricotta in them, they cook up kind of doughy. I wouldn't buy these again because they're extremely expensive for what you get, but they DO taste good with butter on them, and for that I give them 3 stars...

I am a pasta nut. Love the product. It was fresh, and tasty!

These were a great addition to our holiday menu for Thanksgiving

Amazon accidentally sent me these after ordering a different item. At first I was annoyed, because the other item was meant to be a gift, but they made it right and refunded a replacement order. Anyway - just writing a review to say that these are delicious. Not sure I'd want to pay the price they're listed for, but if I did, I wouldn't be disappointed. Has the homemade quality without all the work. Made in salted water and added brown butter (also tasted with parmigiano reggiano, but preferred the butter only version). Perfect!
