Easy to set up. WIFI can be unstable
Straightforward plug in and connect design. Only downside is WIFI isn't as robust as I'd hoped. When it's running, speed is good. However it drops out and is unstable from time to time. Better than not having it I suppose as I wasn't getting a signal at all in the furthest places of the home.

Better than my previous wifi extenders
I had some previous TP-link wifi extenders which were powerline type. They worked well but I had to stop using them as they caused radio interference across a large part of the radio spectrum and it prevented me doing amateur radio. Then my ISP Virgin offered me some wifi extenders that just used wifi and didn't cause the same interference. They were OK until one of them suddenly overheated and caught fire! Fortunately no damage done but didn't want the same again. So now I use this range extender. It works much better than the previous ones, no radio interference, no overheating and offers a good range. Only downside for me is that the signal strength seems to vary a fair bit from location to location in the house and at different times of day. I don't know why but it has only lost its connection a couple of times which is no big deal. It suits my use and extends my wifi into rooms where reception was previously too weak to be usable.

Great Value Extender
Easy enough to set up and to use the Tether App. Had to set up a laptop, tablet and phone, so a fair bit of password entry, but all was fine. Did a test on speed and in the living room where the hub is I get the 200Mbps (as promised). Going into the adjacent kitchen, this drops to 150Mbps. When switched over to the extender and at the bottom of the garden, I am still getting 90Mbps, so happy with this. I also tried it in the garage, where the signal needs to go through two brick walls and I was getting 135Mbps. Very happy with the performance. Having the AC plug through means I can still have the nightlight by the back door too. Construction feels solid and the hoop antenna is a great idea and better that "rabbit ear" ones.

Works well but not with Asus router AiMesh
I gave up trying to get this to work with a AiMesh setup and ran a cable to the devices. It was a lot more "messy" and would have been much cheaper to have done in the first place. The signet it put out was strong but I couldn’t get it to be attached to the nearest router instead for whatever reason it was locked onto the base router with a very week Wi-Fi signal making it useless. Others have told me there is poor compatibility using the Mesh setups between the different firms. So be aware of posable problems if you want to add this to a Mesh setup.

Worked perfectly for about 2 days then rubbish.
Ordered 3 of these to cover a relatively large area. They seemed to work well at first - easy to setup although I had to use the mobile app as WPS didn't work on any of the 3 extenders; this should have alerted me to future problems! They meshed and worked well for about 2-3 days and then the signal started dropping randomly one at a time and then across all 3. After about a week all 3 products were constantly needing to be reset up to 5 times a day to stay connected. Impossible to use for conference calls or data as the Mb speed would vary between 100Mps+ down to less than 1Mb seemingly at random swiftly followed by completely losing the signal - this happened even when I put an extender right NEXT TO THE ROUTER! (The router WiFi and connection works perfectly within range) I do not recommend buying this product at all. Amazon have accepted return and refund on all 3 and I have switched to a different manufacturer for WiFi mesh extension.

First rate item but remember to do a firmware update once setup is complete (app needed for update)
All I can say is that this extender is by far the best in this price category 😁 I have used a number of these devices in the past but this one works just as good and in some aspects even better than its competitors which are twice the price. It has multiple purposes and each are 5* and the setup is simple and easy to follow! I would challenge even the most inept user to fail when using the quick start because it is so easy to follow it’s as simple as WPS on your router (hub) and WPS button on the unit. It will do the rest itself! I would only then download the app and remember to do a firmware update because it’s quite easy to exploit if you done

Slightly disappointed with the wifi speeds, although the extender works as it should
Setting up this unit was fairly easy, although the WPS method didn't work with my Virgin Hub 3. I wanted to extend wifi range to the conservatory at the back of the house (the Virgin Hub is at the front), and with a limited number of available sockets this extender with AC passthrough seemed ideal. Previously, the wifi signal in the conservatory was 1 bar at most, with patchy reception, and this extender gives a full 4 bars. So no complaints as far as the unit doing the job is concerned. What is slightly disappointing is the wifi speed from the extender - it's less than a third of the speed (111mbps) from the Hub 3. That's probably nit-picking because 30mbps in the conservatory is a perfectly acceptable speed, especially as it's now coming from a rock-solid connection thanks to the extender. It's just not quite what I was expecting! Overall, I can recommend this unit for its ease of setup and doing what it says on the tin. The AC passthrough also works perfectly, by the way. Just don't expect the same speed from this as you get from your modem.

Could've been excellent
Update: I've updated my score back as the issue turn out to be a tp-link router causing disconnects and not the extender. The extender has been performing great! The extender is easy to setup and seamlessly extended my 5Ghz network. I can now enjoy nearly full speeds at corners of the house where the WIFI router simply doesn't reach well. It solved my issue with phones and laptops switching between 2.4G and 5G because they are so far away. Now I have a solid signal without any issues, plus the corridor socket can still be used with the power pass-through.
