We had found a similar seat at 2nd hand store so was a little put off by the price. But we had to replace the cheap old plastic/ MDF wood covered we use to buy every few years, and they always stain and looked bad. So we figured in the long run this would more than pay for itself. It is super nice looking with metal hinges and stops between the seat and the toilet. It is a heavy duty poly resin and fairly thick so it seems it would last a long time. The one we got 2nd hand(it looked new) lasted around 7 years ( and still looked new and I constantly clean my toilet with natural and bleach products) and had plastic hinges which is what eventually broke, so we think this should last that long or longer. I will update if any problems. We got it the next day which was wonderful as we needed it ASAP, THANKS!

I am so happy with this purchase. you can tell this is a well-made. it has real shells and sand. none of the plastic decorations/ this is not a thin breakable toliet seats. I know this will be used for many years. I previously purchased the ones with artificial seaweed and artificial shells, it was a thinner toliet seat. unfortunately it lasted less than 11 months.

This was the third seat I've ordered. One company ran out product before filling my order and put me on hold till more came in. I cancelled and ordered from another, which got lost in the mail so they refunded. I finally order from a third company and received it in record time. Packed perfect and easy to assemble. I installed it in no time. Lovely design, well made, looks easy to clean. I'm very pleased. I would recommend buying this product.

I love the look of this and have purchased the same product in the past for my parents home and another dwelling and they lasted many years .Recently i purchased it and while installing it the top seat broke in my hands. The company who sold it to me was wonderful in sending a replacement immediately so I would not be without a seat .Unfortunately the replacement had the same problem when someone let the seat down it cracked juts a couple weeks later. With a parent in the hospital there was no time to deal with this so it is now past replacing. an d what good is replacing if it still is defective in the way it is now made ? Something is wrong with the manufacturing .i wish I had kept my old seat from 10 years ago as it was strong it was just showing signs of wear .Is everything made in China now ?Uhhhhhhh I have no time for this. I hope it is just a bad batch as in the future i would love this style again

I love sea shells in every item. I have sea shell toilet seats on every toilet in my house. I needed a new one and really liked this design. Unfortunately, this toilet seat is thinner than the others, and it split after not much use. My husband offered to glue it for me, but I didn't want a glue line marring the look of the shells plus I figured it might happen again. I am disappointed in this seat.

Just purchased to replace one that I purchased 15 years ago. Color is no where near the same. Like other reviewers have said mine has a few “blemishes” in the lid which stick out like a sore thumb.The very first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the color. The color is way off like a grey milky color that might not show so bad installed in a pure white sunlit bathroom. My bathroom where I had the previous one is off white with almond fixtures. The original version before they changed manufacturers looked beautiful with my fixtures. The Capiz shells were uniform in both the lid and the seat without any noticeable blemishes.This one has Capiz shells in the lid but the seat looks like pearlized resin with no Capiz shells in it unless they pulverized them and mixed the powder in. Not pleased with this purchase but will make due until I can find another I like.From all the reviews maybe they should go back to the way they manufactured them before.The other designs look nice and might be nice but I’m definitely unhappy with the “Capice”

This toilet seat replaced a mother-of-pearl designed one that I purchased about ten years ago. The new one is MUCH sturdier and MUCH more elegant in appearance. True, this one was more expensive, BUT, it is a matter of “you get what you pay for” and it is worth the extra money to purchase this toilet seat that I am sure will last longer than ten years!
