If this just contains pecans then why are the carbs about 3 times higher than pecan nuts at 14g per 100g? Pecans are typically 4g carbs per 100g.

I can confirm that the product contains 100% pecans - nothing else whatsoever. The Carbohydrates of Pecans are comprised of two elements: Dietary fiber (10g) and sugar (4g). The dietary fiber is NOT absorbable by the body, so it is ignored by some. to quote from an online source: Fiber is a type of carbohydrate that the body can't digest. Though most carbohydrates are broken down into sugar molecules, fiber cannot be broken down into sugar molecules, and instead it passes through the body undigested. Hope that helps!

Can anyone advise if the jars are meant to ‘pop’ when opened for the first time? I bought a few flavours and none of them did.

When the lid 'pops' this means that it was closed in vacuum conditions. This technology is used with high risk products, that will go off even with a small amount of air in the jar. Nutural World products are very low risk, and have a long shelf life. They will also keep for at least three months after they are opened, which means that sealing under vacuum is not necessary.

This product is made of 100% pecan and nothing else. The allergen is Tree Nuts. It is made in a Peanut Free production unit and thus there is no possible cross contamination with Peanuts.
