Dog Diaries #2: Buddy

Excellent series combines history and dog character

Thank you Kate Klimo for writing this series! My granddaughter is reading Buddy right now and loves it! I read it first and fell in love with this brave shepherd.

My daughter (7) loved this book. It is told from the perspective of the dog who is a service animal. It starts from the time he is born and goes from there. The book is a good length do my daughter felt accomplished when she finished it. She didn't think of it as a baby book like the ones her brother ( 4 ) reads. There was nothing offensive in the book and no rude language. Perfect for her she didn't struggle with any of the words. Again A great read for her.

These books are excellent! I read them with my son and I really enjoyed them (and I hate reading). We have ordered many of the dog diary books and loved them all! He’s 11 now and needs more challenging books, but these would be great for 7-10yr olds.

I purchased several the the Dog Diaries books for my 10 year old granddaughter for Christmas......boy, they were a hit! She had this one read by December 26th. She started reading as soon as she opened the package, ignoring her other presents.

Our 8 yr old Granddaughter wishes she could have one dog of every breed. These books give her a chance to know all of them.

I bought this for my seven-year-old granddaughter whose Brownie troop is considering sponsoring a seeing-eye dog. Her Dad read the book to her in one morning. My granddaughter loved the book, which totally held her interest, and she is really looking forward to sponsoring a dog
