Larger shell cavities provide 50% more space for your ears, allowing the entire ear to fit comfortably and preventing pain from seals pressing against the edge of the ear. Lightspeed recommends replacing the headset soft goods (ear seals, head cushions, and mic cups) every 18 months to ensure maximum ANR performance and comfort. Ear seals, head cushions, and microphone cups are consumable items not covered by the Lightspeed Warranty and are designed for field replacement. Refurbish Your Headset
I can't compare it with other brands but I do love my Lightspeed zulu 2. They make the headset feel brand new again. My last set of replacement ear seals lasted around 150 hrs. most of those hrs were spent in the hot and humid conditions of Guatemala.
