Returned the mantel because it was of poor quality materials
Returned the mantel because it was of poor quality materials. The face and top were built up of strips of wood glued together to represent a single solid log but if stained the manufacturer,s attempt to create a natural and realistic appearance certainly failed.

Mantel
The mantel arrived in a very long box and was undamaged. However, we were not aware that the mantel was unfinished. I do not remember anything being said in the ad about a finish so I thought it was like the one in the picture. So we will have to stain it and then get it up.
