Plugged it in, switched it on by the socket's power switch and away we go, 4 independently switched power sockets and 2 usb charging ports from 1 plug!3 metre cable is perfectly adequate for my needs and looks lovely in white with the different coloured switches.I can't comment on the charging time from the usb ports when you are using more than one, but I have products charging from it at the moment and it's charging them fine 😊This lead comes with surge protection to protect your electronic products from any electrical spikes and, as is usual with extension leads, do not overload it! The maximum load on this is 2500 watts, but is more than adequate for a desktop pc setup as opposed to all your kitchen electrical equipment!One last thing, the lead comes packed so tightly bound that it's like a coiled spring even after untying it, mine was like a coiled spring but I just hung it over a door and the kinks dropped out after a while.

Let’s start with I’m from the USA. I’ve been living in the UK a year now and have been juggling plug converters for my phone and laptop. I recently upgraded to a new iPhone and added a watch to the mix, less available outlets. I also only have outlets on one side of my bed, the side I don’t sleep on and least convenient to access. Bearing all this in mind I decided to try to simplify things a bit. I picked up an Anker dual port UK plug charger for the phone and watch. I then measured the distance to the other side of the bed and needed a long cable to reach, nearly 3 meters. So I began searching and came across this unit which ticked all the boxes and then some. 3 meters overall, four universal outlets, and as a bonus two 10w USB-A ports. I can plug in any plug type I have, UK, US or EU, and have two decent power USB-A ports for accessories like my Bluetooth speaker and headphones. Each outlet is individually switched as well as the USB ports. The unit itself seems well built and suits my needs perfectly. I’ll likely be ordering another in the future for some other US plug computer equipment I have.

I've had this for a while, in the same position, the only thing I do is take the switch off on and off dependent on which port I am using. After about 3 months one on the on/on switch stopped working and now all of the and loose and don't work properly. It takes wiggling for it to work, which, I shouldn't have to do on an electrical item. Also when I plug in certain items into the USB you can hear the electrical drain as it charges. It was good and ideal in the beginning but it doesn't last.

This extension lead had every feature I was looking for and needed, not only did it have 3 meters in length from plug to Charging Ports but I also like that it has individual switches that you can turn off that are colour coded too and it's also a surge protection which is a Big must these days with overpowering one's sockets, also one of the many reasons for my purchasing it in the first place, now I can colour code my plugs to the switches so no more having to put sticky labels on my tv wires or have to tug at the wires to find the right plug to take out... We live in a multi-cultural society. We often buy electrical products outside the UK, or have visitors from abroad. We have those pesky shavers whose two pins fit nowhere and need an adapter, so breaking the rule of electricity that you minimise the number of connectors. The product follows the praiseworthy British habit of providing a switch for each socket. Expatriates who live abroad often live with a bewildering array of plugs. I know this product is popular with expatriates -- it was one who first told me such dream products exist. Why did it take me so long to find out?This product has taken easily anything I have thrown at it. I have never heard or seen any sparking. Plugs are gripped but I have never had to force anything. That is an exceptional balance to achieve. I am also amazed that the main DIY stores do not seem to stock them since many people in Britain do business with those from overseas, and this product is the best I have seen to have available in rented property, hotels, restaurants etc. The product even comes with two USB charger slots, and, while I have not timed them, I have the impression they are fairly fast.My only regret is that this company does not sell a similar product for surface mounting (two sockets) and replacing the embedded sockets. If this company sells that, please post a note so I can buy some.

I liked the overall design of the extension lead, it has a colourful astestic with the ability to turn off each plug with a switch. It's an excellent quality extension cable however I have rated it 4 stars because I think it is a little on the expensive side for an extension cable. I would recommend to anyone in the market for a high quality extension cable!
