It is the cheapest backlit keyboard you can find that is decent
As stated in the headline, it is cheap. The key response is as you would expect from any basic non-mechanical keyboard. The keys are soft and obviously dome based with okay response. The backlighting is excellent even if it is only 1 color. The volume control works perfectly. The only downside is that it is not spill proof, but it doesn't claim to be. Actually, I would add another downside in that you can no longer buy it on Amazon without the unnecessary mouse. If you want a cheap, replaceable combo this is a good buy. As a former gamer who grew up and no longer has the time to dedicate to games, this would be good for beginners. If you blame your hardware for your failings then it is not the hardware, but the gamer. I can say that as an OG and the fact that on occasion I still use this cheap keyboard to ruin the fun of newbs and experienced gamer's alike. :) It is quite good for writing papers as a university student, or articles as a journalist in the middle of the night that require pages upon pages of information as it has low hand fatigue. I am on my second one as I wore out my first and I like it. This is just my personal opinion so take it as that. I hope others appreciate it for what it is and what it isn't.

Decent buy
How this keyboard gets used in my house:- as a backup, this is not my main keyboard for most of the year,- as part of my current setup because of a household of 5 sheltering in place,- (from above) I recently bought a boom mic that hovers above my keyboard, my mechanical one was just too loud to sit next to the micPros:- nice back lighting, it is light enough not to be an eye strain at night, but you might not notice it during the day- which is honestly perfect- decent key-feel (even coming from a mechanical keyboard)- volume knob is super handy during video meets for work- durable (this keyboard is no one's main board, but has been used by someone constantly for over a year)- quiet keysCons- it does have a membrane feel, so it does take a second to get used to coming from a mechanical keyboard- only blue back lightingThis really is a decent keyboard. This is not going to be your super high end gaming keyboard. BUT, like another reviewer said, you can game just fine on this! A better keyboard is not going to make you a better 'gamer'. This is a great step up from the keyboards that ship with most computers. There are plenty of membrane and dome-based 'gaming' keyboards out there, this is just as good as any of them.

loud keyboard and the mouse light never goes out
it a good price for anyone that is looking for something cheap but there were a lot of issues after 6 months of using it.the letters were rubbing off and keyboard keys would stick depending on what you were doing. the light on the mouse and keyboard was bright and looked beautiful but at the same time the mouse light would never go out even when the computer was shut down, very annoying. Not recommended for hardcore gaming or every day use.
