Lee Kum Kee Soup Base For Seafood Hot Pot, 1.8-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12)

I got a rig to make hot pot at home and I wanted to try a nonspicy variety. I had no idea what to expect with this one - but it was a huge hit!!! 5 stars!The taste reminds me of pho broth: savory, umami, with a hint of sweetness. We loved it, and have already used it for hot pot twice in the last week. The bulk option is such great value!! There's just two of us, and we only used half the packet for each serving. (For reference, we used a Dezin electric hot pot, with about 3 cups liquid for each 1/2 packet.)For a couple, that makes 24 servings at 50 cents each! This one is definitely entering the meal rotation in my household, and I plan to try the spicy Lee Kum Kee base next.

Value for money is good. Quality is perfect

We like this soup base. Simple and flavorful. Ton of sodium of course.

We had a hot pot for Thanksgiving and the broth was delicious.

Had to buy this here at Amazon, as every Asian store in the nearest town doesn't stock it anymore, and it's my all time favorite Asian soup base.

This was gross, salty, and fishy tasting. It did not taste like satay at all. Now I have 11 pouches that I have to toss or shove off on someone.

I decided to put together a Shrimp and multi-veggie hot pot for my husband . This Shrimp soup base is awesome.. Subtle enough to not over power the other flavors yet flavorful enough to hold itself... I would HIGHLY recommend Lee Kum Kee Seafood Soup Base as a start for a Hot Pot.. I my hot pot included, fresh shrimp, green onions, red potatoes, bok choy, fresh mushrooms, rice noodles, some shredded cabbage, sliced onion and some fresh hot peppers... Amazing Soup Base

Well... you get what you pay for, and less than. It had no flavor and I had to add a bunch in. Tastes like tomato paste that’s been watered down and no salt at all.
