Inside or outside? . . .
I bought this to use woodworking.ATM, I can't recall which one I had to 'adjust' to make it 'square' & I'm away from my shop so can't check. It might've been this one but whichever I had to file 1 edge of the blade to make it 'square' inside AND outside.Anyway, this is a good woodworking square even if I did have to 'square' 1 blade edge. That is not unusual nowadays.I see many amazon reviews where folks buy a square & complain "it ain't square"!Simple, FIX it!FIRST, check it for square, use a factory edge on plywood, checking the inside 1st, strike a line on the plywood.Flip the square over, strike another line close to the first. Both lines are "supposed" to be parallel if the square is really 'square'.If not, figure out which end is off & file HALF the difference off at the end where the 2 lines are closest. That means you file off a *VERY* small amount & use a smooth file. Then CAREFULLY file off the 'curve' you made when you filed the one end, tit it's "straight" & true.Repeat the process with the outside of square & you're done.BE CAREFUL!But it's not too hard & you can be off just a bit & 'get by'.Hopefully helpful.

Not (a machinist) square
Measured it to be +.002" out of square with an indicator. On a comparator, it said 7 minutes proud of 90. Maybe it is good for a tavle saw, but not a machinist. It was also dinged up on arrival. It IS $10. So it makes
