(UL Listed) Gexmil Multi-Application Electrical Floor GFCI Outlet Boxes Brass Cover with Cast-iron Junction box

Garbage. Avoid at all costs. I bought 3 of these three and a half months ago in anticipation of some new construction. That was delayed, however, so I’m just now installing the first one. The tiny print instructions are a bad translation and utterly useless. The screws are so soft and flimsy that it’s impossible to install them without stripping, and there are no extras provided. You also can’t just use other standard electrical box screws, because they won’t fit. The clearances for the surface outlet going into the box are less than a milimeter, and even then the installation holes don’t line up. I’ve installed hundreds of electrical systems of all sorts, it im throwing in the towel on this one. Now I’m stuck with three of these hunks of junk, as I’m two weeks past the return deadline.

I’m going to install this outlet in the countertop of my camper to plug in toaster etc. When you slide the latch forward the outlet rises smoothly up. Very solid and elegant. Good tight fit of lid prevents water coming in when wiping off the counter. I’m very pleased, especially at that price.Update: it’s installed and has been in daily use for 6 months. No problems. Easy to keep clean. Looks great.

This was installed into a new oak hardwood floor. We did not want lamp cords drug across the top of the floor from the wall, so this was put in approx. 8 feet from the wall, where a sofa group will sit using the wall fireplace as visual center. The electrical engineer said it was an easy install and it looks great. It opens and the plug inserts from the side not directly down, so dust and dirt cannot get into the plug. This plug closes flat if not needed We are very happy and so glad we got it. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

The floor box can't pop up smoothly and looks cheap.I could only find UL label on GFCI, not the whole kit, which is not as true as the title.The wiring instruction is not detail enough, it is only marked "L" and "N" in the wire.If you are installing this product on wood floor or carpet, don't buy it because it can't be installed.The junction box is not a standard one, if you have a long wire, then you can't install it.Not recommend, cheap quality and misleading title

A tad fussy to put in and you have to pull the tab to open OR close, but no biggie.Looks great! Have three of them.Would reco ...

Love it but I had to send the first one back because it wouldn’t open. HUGE upgrade from the old sorry floor plug I replaced.
