Answer Key???
The book is amazing would give it a 5 star but it does not have an answer key. How are we supposed to know if the kids are doing it right?

I highly recommend it for high school or college students
This is a complete course of critical thinking. It is organized very well and easy-to-use—giving many examples so the concepts are understood. The practice activities are realistic and therefore encourage students to apply the critical thinking skills in their daily lives. I highly recommend it for high school or college students.

He doesn't fill out every section but we discuss the topics and it's been a great way to understand the teen age brain
My 13 year old son (8th grade) is using this to prep for high school next year. He doesn't fill out every section but we discuss the topics and it's been a great way to understand the teen age brain. I definitely recommend it!

On a positive note the tools and techniques have a solid foundation, but I do feel that this author used examples (pretty much all examples) that were from one ideological viewpoint. If you really know how to use critical thinking and persuasive tactics it is possible to imply these messages even in a critical thinking curriculum. For example, in one instance it was implied that if you believe that euthanasia is morally wrong that you err in your rational thinking. There were subtle references against patriarchal families as well as one-sided views of race and imprisonment. I feel that the book was leading a student tow a one-was type of social thinking. The other positive thing was that the same tools can be used to investigate, debate, and come out with a balance of truth and see that there is more to the story than the examples that she uses.

Not a critical thinking book. Don’t waste your money.
Not a critical thinking type of book at all. Such a waste of my money.
