GET SOME INFO HERE - Fix sharp edges, Install IN a PU truck for use as a maintainer.
YES, corners are sharp. Here is the PERFECT solution which will prevent scratches on the inside of your windshield. :-)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J9WRFNZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I paid $11.99 You should WAIT 24 hours after installing them BEFORE stressing the adhesive. It needs time to properly create a lasting bond.DO NOT connect this PANEL directly to your car battery. YOU WILL damage your car battery if you do.You NEED a charge controller. Here is a simple and effective one I selected:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073WQC558/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1It was very reasonable at $10.99MOST installations on a vehicle charge batteries that are NOT the batttery the vehicle uses to start and run. THERE ARE some quirks when using on the vehicle's engine/running battery. These are addressed by using easily removed connectors ---> ABSOLUTELY . DO NOT EVER leave the controller connected to your car battery or the panel connected to the controller when not charging. NO, NO, NNNOOOO! To setup for charging, Connect: FIRST connect CONTROLLER TO BATTERY, THEN connect PANEL TO CONTROLLER. TO Disconnect: Remove panel from controller, THEN remove controller from battery. PITA? WHY? VERY sensitive MOSFET transistors are in ALL charge controllers. They can DIE if you forget even ONCE. Also, the electronics can go whack due to voltage imbalances in the circuitry causing a malfunction. Think bootup with bad voltages in your computer. BAD JUJU.-----> From here on, this is NOT for inexperienced technicians.Instead of "Solar" connectors I used EC3 R/C Battery connectors since the panel and controller are IN my vehicle.Get them HERE:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013HSSSAU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The MALE CONNECTOR uses 2 FEMALE sockets and the FEMALE connector uses 2 MALE pins. Typically, the MALE CONNECTOR is on the BATTERY side. I HIGHLY recommend you go to youtube and search for EC3 Soldering videos. Doing it wrong WILL be a lesson in frustration... I PROMISE. Doing it RIGHT = easy-breezy pin insertions during assembly. The good news is they can handle 50A!!! I used 14# GPT automotive primary wire. Red / Black. USE GPT it is good to 221 degrees! I COULD have gone with 16# BUT I wanted less voltage drop. ALSO, be sure to use a FUSED tap with the fuse located AT THE BATTERY. I had to do it this way because NONE of my cigarette lighter sockets remain live when the key is not "ON". Even if they were, There is too much potential for a improper connection using cigarette lighter sockets. On the INSIDE of the truck I used a CCTV coaxial jack that I installed on my dashboard. Looks Pro. I installed one of the EC3's on the backside so I could disconnect it from the jack if I ever need to remove the panel the jack is installed into. It goes between the jack and the battery. THIS is it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C46XMPT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1This jack accepts 5.5 x 2.1 mm Coaxial power connectors. Get THOSE here:https://www.amazon.com/DAYKIT-Female-2-1x5-5MM-Adapter-Connector/dp/B01J1WZENK/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=CCTV+Cameras+2.1mm+x+5.5mm+Female+Male+DC+Power+Plug&qid=1554717370&s=electronics&sr=1-4I installed a second EC3 between the SOLAR PANEL and the CONTROLLER for easy system removal when I'm ready to drive.Again, The charge Controller CANNOT remain in-circuit while the truck is running. I disconnect the Panel, then the battery connection as outlined in the instructions for the controller. This is NOT a project for a accountant - You NEED to know what you are doing, otherwise you could cook your vehicle etc.

High Quality!
Very solidly built panel. Nicely finished, well packaged and delivered in a timely fashion. It will fix perfectly to the top of the forward hatch on my boat!Update:After a year on the boat the panel shows no sign of corrosion, fogging or electrical degradation. It keeps my house battery topped off and ready to go when I am. Great panel!

Good Price for Portable Power!
This is the second of these panels that I have purchased for a portable solar power pack. These work great! I have checked the voltages against each panel and they are pretty much dead on, which seems to me to say that they are both in good working order. Now my reason for taking away one star is in the construction and quality control. As others have mentioned the corner miters of the frames are not near as exact as they could be. They are VERY sharp. I think that due to the portable nature of these panels that more care should be taken with regard to construction of the frames. One thing that (hopefully) won't make a difference in power output between them is the solar cell's themselves. The original panel I purchased has squared off cells and the new panel has beveled corners (see pic). I have not had the opportunity to field test the new one (washington rainy weather) but if it puts out the same power then it shouldn't matter. These two will be connected in parallel via a "Branch Y connector" Over all, I am very happy with these and I plan to attach a hinge between the panels to make them fold out and a handle to be more portable.

Worth the extra cost.
Wasn't too sure the extra cost was worth this panel (I have others, cheaper, thinner, plastic, etc.)in the end though its worth it. head to head with other dash type battery slow chargers (maintainers) it produces more power than the cheaper ones, and, it does not get blown around by the wind etc.(going to replace all of my cheaper ones, with this one, as they fail)

both were packaged very nicely and arrived on time
Ordered two of these, both were packaged very nicely and arrived on time. The Solar Panels themselves are exactly as you would expect and function fantastically. They feel well made, sturdy, durable and should fulfill the needs of my project just fine.
